Graf Zeppelin found - maybe

The Polish Navy seems to have found the wreck of the Nazi's one and only carrier, the Graf Zeppelin. Here's the link: abcnews.go.com...

If I remember correctly she was launched in 1938, but Goering's massive ego was so against the concept of a naval aviation arm (that wasn't under his control) that he blocked its fitting out for years.

Very interesting post Darkmind...i always thought the Graf Zeppelin had ended the war like most Axis vessels..deep sixed One interesting alternate history scenario written about has been better Kriegsmarine/Luftwaffe co-operation aimed at anti-convoy operations during WW2.Lucky for us it never came to pass and the Graf Zeppelin never reached action against the allies.
