If You Have Been Post Banned...

The topic of the thread, started over three years ago, is post bans, and invites questions about post bans. In the last seven posts, I'm seeing a lot of statements, but not a lot of questions.

This thread was not intended to serve as a substitute for the Complaint/Suggestion feature nor as a means of airing personal gripes.

Accounts created for the purpose of circumventing staff action, including post bans, are subject to termination.

If you have been post banned and would like to have the post ban lifted, be sure to contact the moderator who applied it (and is named in the notification U2U) for instructions.

Please note that it is not unusual for some members to ignore those instructions and carry on as if no one told them anything. I see it far too often. Think of reading and understanding them as a basic requirement for regaining posting privileges.

If, for some reason, discussing the post ban with the moderator who applied it is not working (among other things, mods aren't on 24/7 and sometimes take vacations), then by all means submit a complaint and request a staff review. Note that doing so does not excuse or eliminate the need to understand and respond appropriately to staff instructions.

Since the point of this thread seems to have already been made, leaving only commentary that's not relevant to the focus of the topic itself, it is now closed.

Maybe it's time for a new one.
