60 untrained volunteers (some of them grandfathers) hardly constitutes a crack Iranian invasion force. They probably won't even make it there. When it's a few thousand Iranian troops sent by their government, then it will be a story

These are people fighting in Lebanon on their own free will... If you think Iran joined the war, i think you are mistaken, if you arent, please enlighten me why.

Ditto...
there were probably that many idiots that went to lebanon from America to fight for hezbollah.

so do we call it the second american revolution? not!

If Iran gets involved, dont worry, we will hear about it... and there will be no question...

I would have to agree with you on this one. Now a 10000 man force backed up by aircraft and weapons would be a much bigger deal.

If the Iranian govenment were smart I would send a Red Cresent bataliion for humanitarian aid. One stray bomb from the IAF hits that and you get quite a propaganda victory. These 60 walking body bags will hardly make a difference.

Completely misleading title. It seems people over rationalise thread titles to gain more viewers!

Because afew volunteers go across does not mean Iran officially declares war on Israel. A more appropriate title 'Iranian volunteers go to fight'

Iran government will not willingly join the fight in Lebanon and neither willingly provide with an army. . .

It is not in their best interest to do so now and they know that. . .

But is also true that the people of the country and adjacent countries can give their bodies to fight the cause that they believe is real. . . and justify. . .

All US and Israel can do is keep killing them and call them terrorist . . .

After all it wasn't overnight that the people in the middle east decided that they hate Israel and the US, it was a very slow and very troublesome path that took them to that point.

Becoming terrorist and knowing that they are fighting a lost battler is something commendable for these people's faith. . .

Im sure they did especially after seeing the bloodbath israel was handing out. I would also bet many dual citizen israelis here in the USA ran right home to join in the fun when they saw Arabs dying too.

As for this Iranian stuff. Its funny. Of course they will consider volunteers from Iran to represent the entire country, just look at what they did to Lebanese civilians, considering them all Hizbollah agents.

What initially appears to be a rag-tag volunteer force could just be the first unit to go into battle from the reported 40,000 strong Special Unit of Martyr Seekers

LOL

More mis-leading thread headlines again I see.

Can't you mods' do something about this as it's starting to get silly?

Isn't there a T&C about outright misleading thread titles?

Cheers

Whats the problem? The volunteers are Iranian...and they are travelling to Lebanon to join the war, hence the thread title It has begun, Iranians join the war

How about a title of "Non-government affiliated group of Iranian volunteers try to make it to Lebanon"? Would that be so hard?

Again, MODS, can anything be done about all the misleading thread titles that just end up on threads that lead to nowhere?

ASsumptions are the mothers of all F##K ups.

Your assuming these people are 100% volunteers in NO way influenced by the government.

and that the government IN NO WAY will use this to there needs, or in no way use it as a COVER to send in specific special forces maybe?

Dont be too quick to disregard things just because you wish to sound superior in sifting the crap from the truth.

In my mind this is just a perfect chess move BY the iranian government to continue to remain ' technically ' outside of this battle, when it is clear to even the most ignorant person that iran have a lot of stringpulling to get back to in the region.

and its the PERFECT title

'Iranians join the war'

it didnt say IRAN joins the war, or IRAN sends in troops.
It says IRANIANS join the war.

Again stop jupming on your high horses soo quick, there's a lot of bs on this site granted, and alot of the people screaming about this post, post alot of BS them selves.

people need to stop thinking they are kings, this is a community site and people are free to post what they want, as long as there opinions dont OFFEND.

60, mate, they have been finding iraniain guards in israel already,

you think there going to tag 60 iranians and let them lose?
The underlying thing is,
they are volunteer's, there fore we cannot stop them or ANYONE ELSE whom volunteers.
Its an opening, so later on when 'hundereds' of them turn up, they can refer back to there original statement.
irans been egging the world along for so long now, you think there going to let the current situation disolve into nothing?

Look what israel are doing to the place, theyre pretty much making the excuse knowing iran WILL take the bait.

You think all this just happened? out of luck?
someone gave the green light to take those men, someone has setup hezbollah rockets ( they didnt just make these things out of thing air ) someone with the technical ability, economy and DESIRE has setup lebanon as a staging ground.

The Arabian world doesnt trust israel, because they still occupy land from previous wars. They arent going to sit around waiting for israel to pull out.

By "allowing" volunteers to go to Syria and Lebanon to fight against Israel, one can almost conjecture that this method could be a viable means of waging an "undeclared war". Iran could, conceivable, send tens of thousands of men -- soldiers out of uniform -- to fight and yet, allow them to disavow any responsibility for a state sanctioned war. It would be something akin to "allowing" American marines to "volunteer" to go to Israel to fight on that side.
