I have been using my new digital cam for a while now(sony mvc-cd350), but have never needed to send one (or post one) beyond my printer. Now I want to post a pic but the file size is a monster. 1.4mb. The files are jpg, but much to large.
Any advice for RESIZING them?

We are talking individual pics? Not movies?

If so download Paintshoppro and resample them in that.

Mind you I suspect there are a number of free resamplers around ...

Thank you NC, I will try that.

They are still pictures. my son has helped me get them to jpg, but they are still very large.

You might also want to try just Zipping them once you've done that, it'll help too (try WinZip).

jpeg format is awfully efficient. I doubt converting them would help all that much.

What resolution are they? My camera (Nikon, something or another) creates images very high in resolution.(2000x1500, or something like that) I typically do a lot of cropping removing parts of the images you dont need the smaller the image usually the smaller in file size. Some graphic applications, like Photoshop, allow you to adjust image quality as well.
