Anyone here from Hawaii?

I first took notice of this hurricane when I was checking out this loop here:
www.ghcc.msfc.nasa.gov...

Set the controls to Animation as a 30 image loop then click the button Animate image below. You can also see Tropical Storm 06E (Emilia) Warning #09 forming of the coast off Mexico.

Here's the current storm information on Wikipedia:
Hurricane Daniel

As of 8 a.m. PDT on July 23 (1500 UTC), Hurricane Daniel was located near 14.9°N, 135.7°W. It had maximum sustained winds of 135 mph (215 km/h), with higher gusts. The storm was moving toward the west-northwest at about 14 mph (22 km/h). The minimum central pressure was 948 mbar (27.99 inHg). The storm is now forecast to continue westward and gradually weaken over the next five days as wind shear increases and it moves over cooler waters.

Well, at least it fizzled out.

But is it me, or is hurricane season starting a bit early this year? Especially for the Pacific.

Fizzled out, but very muggy here. We're happy that it's gone.
