It looks like one of those IQ test type of questions like Wood is to tree as flesh is to animals.

So this would be something like Grok is to humans as blank is to blank.

EDIT: typo

'Grok' means to understand so thoroughly that the observer becomes a part of the observed - to merge, blend, intermarry, lose identity in group experience. It means almost everything that we mean by religion, philosophy, and science - and it means as little to us (because we are from Earth) as color means to a blind man.
In common usage, "Do you grok?" seems close in meaning to "Do you get it?"

So, we had a clue "VMS: to drink?" that spawned an answer "grok". That was the literal intpretation. Now, what if we are being asked in a more metaphorically way how grok relates to humans.

So, what word or phrase in a human language (English, probably) has the closest meaning to "grok" ?

since we are so close to the end...
This assumes that there are only 41 questions. Is there a consenus that this is the last question?

freenrgy, I was working that same angle and for some reason I was always winding back to the ultimate question from hitchhiker (the final answer to everything?)

but wtf could be that "Y"!!!!!!

That's the trouble, the new question is just as vague as the last.

It seems that "It is to humans...." "as *blank* is to *blank*".

The problem is, what is "it".

Without knowing what "it" is, it's next to impossible to draw any correlation unless we assume "it" is "grok".

Tried "q_whatisit" with no success.

Think about it. Using grok as a launching pad for this question, what are we looking for? The final answer to everything, right? grok has led us to a definition that can mean everything. Somehow, these two have to be related.

O.K. I just got some applause points. You know what that means.

I suspect that grok is related to the final answer to everything.

anyway we don't have the choice, non of us is on the good road.
let's focus on the fact that a grok is related to the final answer.
in this case , what should we look for?
