I'm with Prof X. I noticed earlier on this thread everyone ignored his post of ideas and I think he's on the right track. We need an organized focus group. I don't care who leads it. Right now it's mish/mash and going nowhere.

how do you propose organizing everyone? i'm open to suggestions from you or the prof.

but right now we know what we need to do. it's obvious now this refering quota was put in place to a) get as many people involved as possible and b) spread out the time it takes to finish this.

Guess you just got somewhere. Cool!
So it's a spreading the link/waiting game. Patience is virtue.

I feel like a rat in a skinner box.

I think some people are taking it too seriously. The same people who beat up their TV if they lose at a video game.

This is fun in here. Sure, its a big mish mash, but ideas are flowing, people are communicating, friends are being made. I've been here since 2003 and have 650 posts. At least 50 of them have come in this thread alone. And honestly, how many people could honestly say that they knew who Cutwolf was prior to this thread? I've never seen a lot of the people in here.

I think I speak for most when I say I'm enjoying things the way they are.

This ^ seems to be the answer.
Prof X,
sorry i havent been here to read your posts but someone says you seem to know what you are doing. So does Mechanic 32, and some of the questions answered so far have been by random things appearing to people. Some people are logical and some people are intuitive and we all work differently. Yes i agree this should be a combined effort, but we should allow everyone to work as they feel is right for them and we can all bounce ideas off each other, for the good of the group. Evreyone has different skills and methods. Please don't go.

If everyone just creates random sites linking to it, would the number go up? or does it have to be an actual site.

pof x is somewhat right, but this mish mash has succeeded in getting us the info we need, this is unorganized chaos, AND IT WORKS

I wonder if there is a question that will provide a list of the domains that have directed to the site. I will try some questions in regards to that.

OK, lets figure out 46 more forums we can post this on. If 10 people can think of 5 unique forums to post to, we'll be golden.

1. www.youtube.com... (in a comment)
2. forums.ea.com...
3. forum.teamxbox.com...
4. gearsforums.epicgames.com...
5. www.jonko.com...
6. www.gamespot.com...

I've already posted it to others, but I'll take those ones.

How can they possibly update that r-counter in such a short time?

It will at least take hours after us posting before those forums are spidered right?

Even for Google.

EDIT: WAIT, I would recommend posting to blogs. That can go pretty fast.
Google "post a comment"

i dont think it has to do with google...their traffic software will update live so the figures can be incorporated immediately.
