There goes the % theory and the r101 theory. Hmph. I'm stumped. I need a sandwich.

The only other thing I can think of is 130 maybe ... but what the hell is the point of that.

I'm taking a break to go pickup some mexican food for my family. Maybe some homemade guaccamole will help me figure this out!

I'll be back in a couple hours.

ok, if we're at r104 now there goes the theory that its a % needed to reach the next clue. it's definitely not unique visitors or page views...could be inbound links still but that doesn't have anything to do with actual traffic stats.

I think we should focus on my post which received applause from Springer.

I think it was implying that the "r" stands for references. Explains both the bold and italics.

Perhaps it is how many main pages or something have the link posted on their page? Or maybe the # of unique pages directing people to the site through a reference (a link, a news article, a forum post)?

42 different sites have linked people to the page, perhaps?

that's what i've been saying...i think it's time we ignore the r number and start treating the last message as a clue.

How the FLIP did that happen?

Mine was at r104 and went back to r94 without me doing anything to the page!

Actually every stat counter I've used gives a list of the unique domains that your visitors come from. In fact urchin even has that built in:

Learn how visitors interact with your website and identify the navigational bottlenecks that keep them from completing your conversion goals. Find out how profitable your keywords are across search engines and campaigns. Pinpoint where your best customers come from and which markets are most profitable to you. Google Analytics gives you this and more through easy-to-understand visually enhanced reports.

mayday! mayday!

now what?

We've lost tags, so nobody can even distract us by posting useless "clues".

Seriously, dear creators of the game, do you expect anyone to wait for like a month?

that is a valid point, i don't think you would have gotten applause for that for no reason...but it just doesnt make sense that we need to have x number of sites link to that site in order to proceed. we're either over-thinking this or under-thinking this...my guess is the first.

The answer has something to do with level error. Why else would it be in bold?

Why is Google still not showing referral links to this site?

Nothing.

BTW, may I post in this thread?

#1. i was reffering to the girl with a cat avatar, not the guy that replied to me and im too lazy to quote him
#2. the skiddies, we tried brute forcing the thing btu it proved to be ridiculously long, and its not hacking
#3. the game MIGHT have POSSIBLY gotten cancelled if shadow nova had email spammed people, thats it thats all, i swear, the next person to think r means something else than references dies, the admin practically told us

ive had it with people coming back from being away for like 6 hours, and asking people to catch them up, if you want to be caught up READ THE PAGES, skim them if you have too, jsut dont spam, its spamming because its useless, the r101 thing makes sence only because there was 2 connections that have since disspeared, r = reference, there is no limit to the r counter, the higher the better, for that girl making a list of the r values, it started r 31 not 30, the ERROR: your answer is out of sequence, MEANS NOTHING, if it just says Out of Sequence, eithe ryour on to somehting or its a past answer, AND SO FAR 42 MEANS NOTHIGN WITH THIS GAME YET AHHHHHHH

just two corrections ... if you are referring to my list, I am a male
and I could have sworn there was an r30 in the thread ... I'll go back and review it

also 42 does have some 'significance' ... it was one of the r numbers the powers that be decided to hand-code on the page ... whether or not that has any relevance to the game remains to be seen

According to HUNT_ADMIN, the "counter" started being shown at 30, however, according to the code, it appears that it actually starts being shown at 31. Nobody was actually able to catch it at 30 or 31 though.

What code? The "r#" is handcoded onto the site. Its not automated and thus there is no code to say what it started at. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I was basing it off of an earlier post.
