some people drink beer... some people smoke cigs.... and theres people that smoke weed. Now im not tryin to stereotype or nothin.. more like using statistics
anyways. Now not everyone reacts to weed the same. Just like everything we ingest.. everyone reacts differently. Some people smoke pot and act retarded, and cant even do something basic. some smoke and they might just wanna lay down all day, or just stuff their face with cheeseburgers or something.....
and you cant forget about the smokers who only smoke to escape this stressful world..
this is definitely the wrong reason to smoke btw.


and then there are certain people who actually use weed as its true medicinal purposes.
it has many healing properties... helps you eat if you cant, heals nausea, cures headaches.. and tons more.
it can be used for spiritual purposes with meditation, and help higher your consciousness to access the global consciousness, which surrounds us all with infinite information..

anyways last but not least... weed can be used against mind control.

you notice alot of anti-weed commercials on the radio or tv lately? they are pretty strong too. but arent true, and highly exaggerated. there are way worst things to do in this world, anything practically. even our prescription pills arent as good for us. Doctors are actually supposed to inform certain people about alternatives like medical marijuana..

The Mind control issue has been brought up a few times in these threads too... but I dont think there has been any sources backing this claim up... But from a personal perspective I am not prone to any subliminal messaging.. since I started doing it. I see right through all the Advertising BS.. I see through all the Govt BS.. and I see through most general BS. It would make sense if it were true that it stops mind influence as to why the govt would want to keep it illegal. But the biggest reason..hands down.. is this: Big Business... There are over 686,000 people in America in jail for smoking pot. You have any Idea how much money the Justice Department makes? Think about it Court costs, Fines, seizures and selling off of possessions and properties, and lastly jail..where you get to be slave labour for the huge business that is the penal system. Prison labour produced 1.3 billion last year in revenue.

Also science is now coming forth that shows that not only does smoking pot.. not "make you stupid" it is actually coming out that it can help regrow brain cells.

Actually I consider that a very good use of marijuana, we all need to escape once in a while. Rich people have their toys and vacations, the rest of us have well....

If I didn't escape once in awhile I'd go absolutely nuts, or more so than I already am

Also the effect depends more on the type of Marijuana used rather than the user.
Some pot makes you sleepy, some hungry, some gives you a lift etc...
Depends on what the mix of Sativa or Indica is in the plant. Not too many pure strains any more. But the effect is pretty predictable, one type of bud would effect you the same way it effects me.

Sativa gives you an up lift (head buzz), Indica is relaxing (body buzz). But like I said most plants are a mix in different percentages.

Most of what we do is an escape, except when we're invovled in real life. I try to stay away from it though, real life messes my life up....LOL

The problem is when the escape becomes real life I guess, then what do you do?

Ill start by saying that the post about why majiuana is legal is not as credible as you think. I came to this conculsion upon see the Hashasin or whatever it was.

It doesnt matter how long people have been using it, Look at Ciggerates for instance.Way back when, Many people thought Cigs didnt have any really bad effects upon them but Now the Majority are breathing through holes in their throats.

From what I understand in a documentary on A&E or something about Weed is that they outlawed it because that causes anarchy or something to that effect.

They outlawed that LSD, hash, Ecstasy, and magic mushrooms. All because they cause some form of anarchy.

Altho on a side note, the government used to give weed to some patients as a way to deal with pain. I think they have like 4 or so still getting weed from the government now.

here in california you can get prescriptions for medicinal marijuana.

What about a good can of Bud or Miller or what ever you prefer? ... why can't that be a good enough escape, sure is for me. From the ones I know who smoke way to much of the crap, I prefer my beer.

I also think being drunk is far more fun then being high.

the Paper and Chemical industry could not compete with the ablity of Hemp to produce superior paper pulp and natural chemicals.

cigz are way different then weed is... weed isn't addictive, people just enjoy smoking it... cigarettes kill people...weed has never accounted for anyones death... i have heard of no history that said smoking weed will make you breath through their throat.

Marijuana does work as a way to heal people physically and mentally... studies have proven this... just because weed is illegal doesnt mean that its bad for you... marijuana is natural and has been around before man... thats a longgggggg time. shrooms also come from cows... they are natural as well and can have very significant spiritual qualities... for crying out loud they come from cows and cows are sacred to some... theirs got to be a meaning behind that. other then that many tribes use marijauan and magic mushrooms for healing and spiritual purposes... these tribes are way more peaceful than americans, so theirs no way that weed can be the cause for people going mad... if anything alcohol should be considered illegal rather than weed... alcohol kills people and causes alot of damage to the brain and other parts of the body... definately a health risk just as cigs... wow people need to wake up and realize that weed isnt bad at all...

some people say weed is a gateway drug but its not really... regardless of smoking weed people enjoy getting messed up period and take higher drugs to get a higher feeling. you could smoke weed your entire life and not have to move onto anything else... their are so many strands of marijuana and still counting, and many ways to smoke that can cause different feelings...

The Banning Of Marijuanna is as hilarious as the Banning of Danelions and Crab Grass. Oh wait, they only banned one weed.

I want to know who it was that convinced a hundred men to ban a natural growing weed. I mean, he convinced them to ban Dandelions and Crab Grass!(Both weeds, like Marijuanna) How do you do that? How do you convince a hundred men that a weed that grows everywhere but the artic circle, can't kill you, and is basically harmless, is dangerous?

You can't OD on Marijuanna. That's right, no one has ever OD'd on it. More people have OD'd on alcohol, which is easy, because no one has OD'd on Marijuanna.

Alcohol is thee mind altering drug. Thousands die from an overdose of alcohol every year. Even more die from Drunk Driving, Drunk Flying, Drunk Sex, so forth. Alcohol is the cause for rape in many cases because the woman gets to drunk to consent or just plain passes out. Alcohol is more addictive then Marijuanna, so are cigarettes.

I have never personally tried weed, but I always found it rather crazy that our government can tell us that we can't grow a plant. I mean, I have several typical houseplants that have poisonous(sp?) leaves and can kill animals and kids who eat a small amount. But the government isn't banning these plants as dangerous, no, people are expected to be responsible and not eat them! But if we wanted to eat them and get sick, they wouldn't put us in jail for it! So, it doesn't matter much to me if weed is or is not bad for humans, the fact is that it is a plant and regulating it is stupid!

I used to be a Jailer and booked many people for possession of marijuana, some of them were under the influence at the time, never once did I have any problems with any of them. No trouble communicating, no violence, no backtalk, no trouble walking/taking directions. But I DID have problems in all those areas with those under the influence of alchohol, and hard drugs. So my opinion from observing all of this, though never actually trying it, is that there is no reason for it to be illegal. Other than a revenue producer (it was our biggest source of income in the county arrests).

First off you don't get high from pot
And if you prefer a, falling down, pissing your pants, non-functioning, brain dead, acting stupid drunk, then all power to ya! Watch ya liver and enjoy that hangover... Oh and you might need this later

periodic use of pot aint bad, it is constant use and the use of hydro weed full of chemicals that is stuffing people up. growers put all sorts of chems in the warter to boost produce and make people addicted in order to sell more. this stuff is very dangerous!! but the natural growen stuff used every now and then is fine and if anything is good for you.

If you don't believe that marijuana can be medicinal, then ask yourself why pharmaceutical companies produce marinol (synthetic THC)?

I had a relative who could spend $400 a month on marinol or $40 dollars a month on marijuana. He bought marinol. His 74 year old wife got a job at WalMart to pay for his synthetic THC, just so they wouldn't be breaking the law.

Health care in the US is not what it should be and the problem is that corporations are allowed to make unlimited profit off of sick people. When I think about that, it makes me angry. What kind of person would I have be to make it my purpose in life to find a way to make as much money as possible off of sick people? That's just kicking people when they are down and I don't know how pharmaceutical company CEOs sleep at night.

Marinol is medicine. Marijuana is affordable medicine.
