Well, zuri, looking at your 11 post, 2 of them contributed to the board, the 9 others were only to diss either the site, the membership(that don't post as you see fit) or the staff. So my question is, "Why are you here in the first place"?

Ever since the book series Unexplanied came out when l was a kid.Simon l bet still has copies (l do).Arthur c Clarke was another plus countless books from anything from rocks moving in deserts to UFO`s, yetties, ghosts, esp etc etc etc.

Managed to get a reasonable education. Now working in an international organisation made up of mainly Spainish,French,British but mostly northern euro people along with people on temp transfer from other international units.Currently in Malaga working with Policia Nacional and CNI.Hopefully trans to Bilbao soon and AT team liasion with EU negotiating team.

I `ve had dealing`s with serial killer investigations, sometimes occult stuff no ufo stuff and very little unexplainable.I and collegues use this site for personnel stuff it is extremely interesting on both real peoples experience and on some of the many people here who need a medical check. From being on a so called inside l do get wound up with some of the many crap on here concerning govt stuff.

I apologise if l come across as a TROLL guess must get under Simon Grey skin to see them here.I`m not, l post in sections that interest me.At this point this interest`s me more than the other stuff.I `m also a straight talking guy who has a vey bitten tongue. In work it`s hard but here it isn`t, l say it as it is.

Here are two comments on the timing of entries by members:

1. I sympathize with the comment made earlier in this thread by ignorant_ape that there is "too much clutter" onscreen within ATS (the example given being the amount of time since any particular posting member last logged out of the ATS site). Decisions about relevance of particular types of data, however, are necessarily subjective. There have plenty of times I have found that particular type of info helpful, especially on breaking news types of stories.

2. There are lots of times when I cannot log on to ATS for days, even weeks, at a time. As John Lennon once said, "life is what happens when you're making other plans." Folks, like many of you, I juggle a busy life. So my suggestion for ATS improvement is:

Give us an option in our "My ATS" section to state our known upcoming absences from ATS. Lots of times, members will post this information within their posts, but that info is not easily found by searches within the ATS database. And then, in a perfect world, when we do manage to find the time to log back onto ATS, the My ATS entry on our absence would get automatically deleted.

New topic: With volunteers beginning to be trained by Al Gore's environmental teams in Tennessee, it would be great to hear from any ATS members who will be going thru that training.

And one comment on the "spellcheck" request. Be aware that some spellcheck programs are more equal than others, and that there is no perfect world there either. I remember seeing a dire article on the futility of spellcheck programs in the computer journal "Communications of the ACM." If it's needed, let me know, and I'll dig out the citation for you.
