ATS, BTS, What would you like to see in the future?

Instead of having to sift thru all the different political sections to see our favorite trash Obama threads; perhaps they could have their own section specifically designated for criticism of the President and the Democrats in general. Space saving and efficient.

My main purpose of the credibility system is not to group people, but to generate quality posts and topics. Over the past 6 years ive been here ive seen quite a few erroneous topics that were not of the best of quality. If a person wants to make a crappy topic, they might think twice about trolling, hoaxing.

I still think we need more ideas for the point system. People have points past 100,000 , like what are you going to thoose points collect them? I say there should be new things for the point system. Things you can buy for 50,000 100,000 even 500,000 like big point prizes. It would be sort of neat i think.

some cool new gear in the ats store. im sure the plain white clocks and mugs with the ats logo is great for skeptic overlords in home office. but many of us want original beatiful designs on them.

Go to deviants online shops for ideas.

also selling blacklights might bring in some more revenue, also some ats branded U.V mugs/clocks/shirts/couch throws would be cool.

I would like something that tell you when you have a reply to your message and in what thread, which will take you right there, as well as something to tell you how many new messages are in a thread you wrote.

It just needs a number like

I'd like to see a single login that covers ATS, BTS, and the Video section, as well as the other sections I don't use for that matter.

Good suggestion. I was going to suggest the same.

Its almost impossible to remember where you posted a msg, and as much as I'd like to maintain the discussion or reply to a response. It gets harder & harder the older the posts & I get.

Please don't use email notifications though. If there was a way to stack reply id's (or something) in the ATS account, that would be cool.


Anyway. Still love the site though.

Lets have a annual competition about who can design the best advanced word or mathamatical puzzle.The prize could be a two week all expences paid holiday for two in the country of there choice.I can design some really advanced puzzles.Then again i can design some really advanced encryption codes too.I guess when it comes to mathamatical pussles and encryption codes there runs a fine line.

Chess is too easy.I get boared with chess.The space war computer game i designed and play is the best game i play.I only play the game with myself as if i had to teach someone how to play the game it would proberly take two weeks of lessions before they would be able to understand how to play my space game against me.Thats because the game is very advanced and complexed.Most people i know would fail.Thats why they have to be very intelligent to even think about playing my game.Maybe one day i will find some one with enough intelligence to play my space game against me.

I fully appreciate ATS has to maintain numbers to stay in business.

Working in media and business analysis for many years, I do see a flaw, possibly a fatal one, that is being committed.

While new young members fattens the rsster and increases the traffic volume, something subtle is happening.

Regular contributors from professional fields and the older, better educated types are being drowned out, insulted, and often harassed. The response is to stop posting.

And it's been happening at an accelerated rate. Some of the best people who contributed for years are either frustrated by the overall quality degradation or had one too many incidents with mouthy kids.

I know this because not only do I observe it, I often get U2Us telling me how they feel.

For the people checking into the site and reading through threads, the place looks more like a circus than a discussion forum.

There always are and always will be less informed and more vocal kids on the Net. But ATS had a draw of knowledgeable articulate people who are now less in evidence. When they go, and they will, they won't be replaced.

The numbers have swollen and this may continue for a while. The sensational nature of the topics does this. But when the overall quality level dips, the sustainability will dip as well.

Stars in BTS. I didn't read the whole thread, but it might as well be brought back.

Thread was closed, I'm here to add my support for a police state board. I see this as separate from an nwo idea.

I also wanted to ask if the idea of a "free speech" zone has ever been discussed. I realize that the site has certain areas and topics that make it uncomfortable to the operators. Has there ever been thought given to a section that would allow these topics to be discussed? Perhaps a forum that had to be accessed, like the "rts", but call it "fts" or something.

Still hoping waiting and begging for a mysteries board. a lot of unsolved mysteries out there to discuss. Chappequidick, Lizzie Borden, Casey Anthony, and that guy supposedly buried under football field.

I also would love to be able to give, trade and bet points.

I know it's easy for me to say this because I haven't been harassed by anyone on ATS, but I don't think that the solution is to stop posting and reduce the percentage of intelligent posters. That way we are giving them free rein to do what they started doing, and that, as in real life, will probably escalate until it is unmanageable and they end up being banned.

I think that if someone feels harassed then he/she should complain about it to the staff, either by using the ATS Suggestions/Complaints Form, the "ALERT" button below every post or by sending a U2U to a Mod of that forum (the names appear at the bottom of every page), that way the people turning ATS into a battlefield will have to stop or leave (either by their own will or forced) ATS to those that really want to discuss things in a civilized way.

I think a multiple upload. Like, upload more then one picture at a time. Like 7, since it is the number of completion. Just a thought.

I agree, that has happened several times to me.

Today it was only with two images, but something I want to upload four or five images and it's not a pleasant experience.

just gettng onsite gets 91+ cookies
answering a U2U gets 40+ cookies
doing recent posts on (75.126.76.151) gets another 127 135cookies


will the madness EVER stop ???


the only thing that makes it all tolerable is the streaming audio,
