ATS, BTS, What would you like to see in the future?

In all honestly, what i'd like to see is the fusion between ATS and BTS.

At first I didn't like it, then I understand why it was like that, but now i'm back at not liking it.

I know ATS is ABOVE top secret, and BTS serves a different purpose, but going to a different domain for the same site just seems so inane,

I'm sure a subection under ATS could be created, and I know you might say ya but consider the other domain as a subsection.

But see I want to have access to it all when I click on Board Home.

I don't think it will happen but I'd like to see it happen.

We need a general question/chit chat thread or sub-forum of the UFO/Alien forum. I have noticed MANY threads as of late that are nothing but a passing thought or short question. So instead of clogging up the UFO board with all that, maybe something else for those types of posts, so a new thread does not have to be started? Thanks

That's a good idea, but it will only work if people follow the rules, so it may not be that popular, I have seen some people posting on the Aliens & UFOs forum just because it is more popular and it may give them more stars and flags.

I would love to see the bbcode for "color".

The bbcode for color messes up when doing "Color" text with apostrophes or quotation marks?

For Example:

[color=Orange]"The Question is not why it's broken. The Question should be why isn't it broken?"[/color]

But without the apostrophes or quotation marks:

The Question is not why it is broken. The Question should be why is not it broken

Because it would be EXTREMELY helpful if we could get this fixed for the writing forums. Because it would make it easier to show dialogue for the readers.

Hmm well being a newb, I'd like to see a way to change UserNames. Not to hide from any mishaps, because a lot of boards with this function allow people to simply click and see which names a person has gone by, and they usually include a 3-month wait period before changing again, but just to spice things up? I dunno... I'm a username addict, lol.

And I agree about the fusion of ATS and BTS. Just put all of the BTS stuff at the very bottom of the board, so the name still applies

You cannot change your username. Once you have registered with the current screen name, you must use it without the option of changing it. I think mods can help you out somewhat, when you create a new account with your preferred user name and u2u the mod and ask him to ban the old account(The reason is because, the rules say that you must have only one account at a time). But as you can see, you must start all over again.

I recommend that we be able to similtaneously log into ATS, BTS, and the Video & Media section. We shouldn't have to log in three seperate times for these.

i dont think the media account is a good idea,make it more...integrated.
i would like to see more social stuff that people can relate to,for fun or something.like elections or making groups of people

From what I heard, when you log into ATS, generally, you are also logged into BTS too, but the current browsers with security levels set to high or medium would allow just logging into ATS alone.

It has happened to me several times not to be able the access BTS while I can access ATS, when most of the time I can access both without problems, so everything points to a double login system.

To try that I went to a BTS thread and logged-out, then I went to an ATS thread and I was logged-in. Back on BTS I had to log in again.

One thing I discovered just now, we can still send U2Us to banned members.

I don't know how things are made, but if the system is not verifying if the member is still active then the in-box of the banned members can keep on filling and the people can keep on sending U2Us without understanding why they don't get an answer.

I think that if instead of the usual screen saying that the message was sent we could get an alert saying that the member was banned it would be helpful.

If the system rejected the U2Us to banned members it would save some database space also, I think.

I would like to see a section meant ONLY for topics about "The Revolution" to come. There are many, all over ATS.

How about getting them together in their own section?

I'm a new member so this may have been talked about already but i'd like to see a section where replies to a post would show up in the myats section. it could just show the number of replies in a given thread or give direct access to each reply

I would like to have a mysteries section or unsolved mysteries section. There are a lot of mysteries both past and current I know that people would love to discuss. It would be nice to have a place to put them.

It is a big repository of all kinds of interesting videos delivered at a far superior quality than Google and yt videos.

I just want to place my support for an "ATS Awards" into this thread. See the relevant link HERE. Now obviously I do not think a live webcast is practical, but something could surely be done with an "award thread" right? Anyways, I know this obviously is not the top of priorities but if at sometime in the future it would be implemented I believe it would be a great addition. Thanks guys.

Anybody ever think that an 'ATS Humour' section would go down a treat?

You know, jokes about ATS topics, funny photos, spoof threads, stuff like that?

Something to lighten the day, and to take all the focus off the gloom and doom of being a conspiracy theorist.

i know , I know that's what BTS is for, but with topics like UFOs and the Paranormal there is some funny light hearted material out there.
