^^ Exactly what I was thinking. What if they began to reply, but then closed it out before the message was sent.

Sometimes I reply to multiple people in one post, also.

I don't know how it would work, coding-wise, but if it's possible, it would be pretttty sweet.

Hmmm.... I like this idea and maybe its something our subject matter experts could get involved with. We could have a question and answer session with them. A different expert / subject each week.

Just start a new thread (in the appropriate forum) asking the questions. That way the ATS information is not split.

See but that would get messy and disorganised. I was thinking a site specific place to post a question. Have that question answered by members, and the ability to ask a completely different question without it running a whole huge mess of replies and off topic discussion.

wiki.answers.com...

answers.yahoo.com...

are examples of what I am talking about. but dare ask a conspiritorial or UFO question in those places and see the response your going to get. I understand your point and a lot of times that could work but I was thinking a little bit more specific and we could organise the information in a way that the membership who had the same questions could see the answers.

Hmmm... i do know what those sites are, however, i think it would take away from the usefulness of the forums itself. Just ask the question, it gets its attention, you get your answer, thread dies and someone else can use the search to find the same answer.

I think another way it could be implemented is by more use of the TinWiki, create an article in there asking you question and then it could be answered in the form of an article.

1. AATS- Action at Above Top Secret. A place were "Activities", Ideas, actions and movements can be organized, managed and joined by like-minded posters. An actual "Work Area". It would not entertain nay-sayers. It would be strictly for members to post threads for everything from Boycotts to group research projects into specific topics. In return, ATS would be able to monitor, and have first dibs at developments into these topics.

2. A little more leniency for members that are very active on this site. First of all, some of us take great pride in the Threads and data we post on ATS. I am not the only one that has posted and posted on here, only to end up banned for a one-time, harmless disagreement with ATS staff.
It is very disheartening to see your old screen name on here, something you have had for years, but not be able to use it. Especially for some of us that have actually WORKED on some of the threads we have posted here.
So, I am not arguing the policy of ATS and posters. I am just saying that there may be a more positive way of handling problems in certain situations, besides banishment. Perhaps a certain term of time of banishment.

3. Topic Current Status- A Database listing topics that have been explored, and an ATS given classification, with brief description.
For example-
Small Rods - Closed - Found to be insects, birds, etc, being filmed under specific, ordinary circumstances.
And, of course, this can be updated with new data, and changed if the data warrants a change.

I am Horrificus.

in the above post and the following I post some ideas of things ATS could do to seek attention and knowledge. I'd say like the advertiser Leo Burnette who said something down the line of: "If you reach for the stars you might not actually get one, but you won't end up with a handful of nothing either."

Well I dont think the mods have abandoned us dont worry? no doubt they let this mount up then go thru the lot later.

As for you never getting any feedback to issues or questions.. shame...... I have no problems in that area.

Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, or if it exists already, but......

...would it be possible to have such a thing as a "conspiracy theorists" Google Earth?

The standard GE gets so cluttered with trivial stuff that people show on there, such as themselves sunbathing and things like that. It would be great if we had some kind of mapping system, either like GE or a standard map, which would allow us to add to it as we find the location of another conspiracy related subject.

Not sure i'm explaining myself too well, i'm even losing interest in my own post!

This is what i'd like to be able to do.....see if this sounds better.

Like on Google Earth, i would like to be able to view a map of the world.

This could be colour coded with dots, each colour dot relates to a different section of the forum. Paranormal stuff, green dot......Fragile Earth stuff.....blue....that kind of thing.

When you click the dot on that location, it opens up a link to the thread on ATS that discusses the conspiracy topic.

However, this would be purely for ATS related subjects. Not BTS, no offence to BTS but Google Earth is already cluttered with that kind of stuff.

When a new thread is started, if warranted, it could be automaticaly linked to the "Tinfoil Google Earth".

Imagine having a tool such as this if you wanted to go travelling, you could go to the UK on the map, and click away at the dots to see which conspiracy sites might be worth visiting.

Anyway, just a thought. Would probably be a lot to sort out, but i guess if anyone can handle big projects, this place can.

Thanks, not many sites are even fussed about what the members want.
