Posting LINKS

Topic started on 20-7-2006 @ 11:51 AM by opinionsarefree

I am a fairly new member but long time reader here. I enjoy dropping a little input
every now and again, but I am not very computer saavy. So, any help would be
greatly appreciated. What is the easiest step bystep way to post a link to another web site, say a newspaper article. (please keep in mind I dont know what jpeg or most other computer related terms mean) Yes I feel like a redneck now but I will learn and thanks again.

Click on the "address", scroll until it's all outlined, right click, choose "copy", set your cursor to where you want the link, right click again and choose "paste". Voila: www.abovetopsecret.com...

The very easiest way is to copy the url from the address bar. (the text string that begins with http )

Also, you can add a title to the link.

When you make your post there are icons above the text entry box.

The one with the globe is for hyperlinks.

The first box that appears is for the title.

The second box is for the url (as described above)

hope this helps!

Something appears to wrong with both of those links. It may be, that you are not copying the complete url, all the way to the end. Sometimes, they go way past the end of the Address bar------------------------------->

Try this:

right click >> select all >> copy

then paste in the post

okay, your second set of links to msnbc worked!

it gets much easier, after the first few tries.
