Dug this story out about a gem found in one of Tutankhamun's necklaces that has unusual origins. Found it quite interesting and thought I would share.

If anyone else has any interesting bits about egypt I would be intersted in hearing them.

This has been discussed before on ATS, I think they called it "Lebanon Glass" or something to that effect.
There is more about the impact that possibly took place in Egypt, it is on the same page that you reffered to on your thread.

That would be Libyan desert glass. And yes, it's been discussed many times here, as well as the recently found meteoric explanation for it's origin.

Thanks for the info, I've done a lot of research on Egypt, but haven't been through the realms of ATS with it yet.
