It is just a Pacu, a vegetarian cousin of the Piranha. They have boney teeth that are much like mini-molars. Figures the kind of people they breed in
Texas would be amazed by a very common fish.
The Pacu has been found pretty much everywhere since they are hardy fish that can grow to huge sizes. People get them as small as a quarter in
diameter for their home aquariums thinking, "It looks like a Piranha but won't eat any other fish? Perfect!" When the thing is approaching a foot
in diameter (usually in only a year or two) with no end in sight (they do get rather large) the people dump them into local lakes and streams.
