WRONG! The Palestinians from Gaza which has been UNOCCUPIED crossed the border and attacked Israel, kidnapping a soldier. Palestinians danced in the streets listening to this. Israeli citizens sitting in the south equally do not deserve the daily bombardment from GAZA. So what is your point. This is a war. Hamas has been missile attacking Israeli towns and cities for months now with weapons that have no military value - its only valu is terror. Same is true for the north. Hezbullah had no reason to attack Israel and the Lebanese government has done nothing to stop Hezbullah as required by international law.

Polls even in Israel show that a good precentage of the Israelis consider their country the bully in the region.

The number of Israeli dead vs the number Palestinian dead over the years highlight the lopsided nature of the conflict.

Numbers mean nothing it is intention and tactics that make the difference. Israel is well prepared for attacks from Arabs which is why their casualty levels are so low (the separation barrier helped alot too - to yourdisappointment). Arabs use their own civilian population as shields (which increases their own civilain casualty rate - and it serves their cause) and Arabs target civiilians as a strategy. That is the lopsided nature of the conflict and what makes Israel even more worthly of a salute.

Israel has managed fine without US military support for enough time (1948, 1956, 1967, 1973). Of course having the US as an Ally is great and therefore Israel does everything in order to keep it that way.

By the way, The US is VERY happy with the attack on Hizbullah. If Israel achieves its objective it will have an effect on the region as a whole and will reduce the threat Iran plays is the region. The US understands that you do not.
