Mosquito Ad???

Yeah, you read it correctly... Let me explain.

Several times now, I have visited this site to experience a whining sound coming from my speakers that sounds like....well....a low toned mosquito. At first, I thought...uh, oh...hardware failure...and to make a looooong story short determined that it only happens when I visit THIS site.

Am I friggin crazy? Anyone else have this happen???? I keep multiple sessions of my browser open, and I find that if I shut down the ATS one, the sound disappears immediately...so it HAS to be an ad, right????

nah, it's there, I got it once...I think it's way at the bottom of the page, most the time.

Thank GOD!!! You have no idea what I went through thinking at first that the sound was coming from my HD!!!!!!!

The noise you are hearing is from a banner ad at the top of the page. Shoot the mosquito once and it will go away for a while.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I didn't see a banner ad with a mosquito. I think I saw it on some other subject matter that I can't recall. I also think I know the one you are talking about, and I don't remember it sounding like this at all....

I have to agree that ad is obnoxious! there should be some stipulations on not having sound in ads, especially a buzzing sound like that, i would NOT even think about clicking it or going to that site if they want to annoy me like that!
