General Jack Pershing's Solution

Seems he had to deal with Muslim extremists (time just before WW1).

This is hardly attributable to Pershing. Besides, pershing was fighting tribesmen in the early 1900s, quite different from fighting global terror syndicates in the 21st century.

Pershing never did this.

Infact, when he ordered the the moros not carry guns, and there was a scuffle in which some moros were killed by officers trying to enforce the ban, he drafted a letter of apology. So, do you think that the author of that page really wants us to act like pershing??

Pershing's strategy was to surround the Moros and wait them out while attempting to induce them to surrender

Not go on an all out offense or 'kill em all and let god sort them out'.

I am not saying his language is good or even civilized at all-it's not.
But that was not the point of the post.
The point was what he did to deal effective with muslium extreamists

wow this was one of our Americans? OMG You are posting this as though this is something we should be proud of in todays times. Thats really going to make people respect us. Executing people, desecrating their bodies, their religion and then making them heroes. Mrmonsoon do you have any stories about Indian massacres that we can brag about to make us appear even more macho? They were terrorists of a sort too.
