I dont get you Colonel. I'm not looking for an argument; I just don't get what you're saying. You know where Jesus was reputedly born right, and where Mary and Joseph where from? So are you saying that everybody in that area was black? That doesn't make sense. His parents were normal everyday people born and raised in that area. They were Arabic.

This is completely false. If King Solomon was black, meaning David was black, then the whole lineage was black.

But he wasnt born of royal linage, at least according to the bible, thats one of the main points of the meaning of the bible. He was born to a simple carpenter and his wife. His linage may have gone back to David spiritually wise or through Joseph, but he was not born of Joseph, but of Mary and God. His physicality then would not be of Solomon or David; it would be that of his mother and, if God has any sense of logic, those who he was to raised amongst.

Remember Mary and Joseph couldn't find a dwelling to birth Jesus but a manger? No one would give them any place to stay. Oops, guess, you messed up on that one

What has that got to do with the price of cheese? You don't seriously think that's because they were black do you? He was a baby then, I'm talking about the people he was raised aside, they would be Arabic. (And according to the bible which you were quoting to prove your argument) They were in Bethlehem because they, like everyone else, had been called there for the census. The Inns where packed because of all the people called to attend the census. They took so long to get there because Mary was pregnant. If there was any prejudiced reason for them to be excluded from accommodation it would be their poverty.

Color is an ISSUE used by those looking for ....."what" Colonel? Clarification? Being told your correct? What?
I asked Illmatic and you over this "color issue" before: Why does it matter? Would it matter to Jesus today? WOuld JEsus today agree with your message and what you are putting forth and how you are putting it forth...for "whatever" the purpose may be?
Highly, highly doubtful Jesus would agree and assert that his color matters...and yet, the topic again arises at good ole' ATS, and yet again, it becomes an issue......

Well said Bandit, Lysergic and Jezebel.....nicely said and I ditto the message each of you convey.

It matters because of this:

Romans 1
22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.

Matthew 24:24
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the electif that were possible.

Mary also has lineage tracing back to King David, who was a black man.

and it DOES Matter.

Knowing Jesus was black matters. Don't give this "oh I dont think it matters if he was black or white, he was Christ" crap because that is BS.

And it's not a matter of race. If I were white I'd still be saying Jesus was black. Why should we hide the fact that Jesus was black? Just so we wouldnt get into this conversation?

Jesus was arabic and thats all there is too it. There have been many mags and documentries which now uncover this.

Still there are many racist people out there whom dismay these claims. It DOES NOT matter what color jesus was.

White Black Green Red Brown Blue, god was testing us.... catholic church says he was white new evidence says he was black.

All in all jesus was and always is our saviour.. and in the end all that matters is your follow your heart

No, I am saying that there were black people in Jurusalem---not everyone in Jurusalem was black

No, Jesus came from the tribe of Judah as a desendant of David (a black man) who's son was King Solomon, another black man. It leads me to believe....

Arabic isn't even a race genius, it's a language. I think you mean Arab and he wasn't.

I havn't read over this thread, it too full of rubbish, but I debated with Illmatic this topic a while back and beat him on every point he raised about Jesus being black.

If Colonel has posted his proofs, I would be happy to show him the error of his ways (although I don't expect him to dsay "Gee NC is right guess I have to rethink this) as this is an ideological decision not a rational historical one.

By colonel...

Og goodness not this crappy argument again, there is no evidence that David was black, nor Solomon, Davis was described as "ruddy" that is red haired, ... need I say more?

How come when Jesus was a white guy, everything was ok? Let's sing to the King of Kings. Now, that he's proven to be black, it's "Oh, it doesn't matter anymore. Let's not talk about it?"

Netchicken, please. No need to talk bull#. I debated you and your boyfriend Thomas on this a whole bunch of times and the only proof you have of Jesus being white is that picture on the wall you bow down to.

I didn't bother to read this thread either, but I'm going to have to say that Jesus would be the same "ethnicity" as the people who lived in Judea at the time. That's if he really existed, which I kind of doubt.

Well Illamtic, to the contrary it matters NOT......only to those who make color an issue. You, for one, are of the Islamic faith, therefore, it diffently doesn't matter being the Islamic faith adheres to the principles set forth by Mohammed who claimed and declared that Jesus was not the Son of God. Thus, it is clear, to me anyhow, why it would matter to you: basically a color issue.

And to Colonel.....You quote scripture as if the scripture speaks for itself. News flash....scripture involves interpretations. You can quote till your blue in the face, just as the Jewish priests did in Jesus's time. It doesn't MATTER....be assurd, it would not matter to Jesus, and that would be fact....if only he was here to agree. A man may be remembered in history but what is he remembered for......? His color???! No! His works, his deeds, etc......

Get real!

A book of interpretations? So, we can all make stuff up as we go along right? Just as long as it fits with OUR view of life. There are no absolutes and morality is relative.

I submit to you that that is evil doctrine.

Seeker, that made no sense.

Jesus was a prophet of God, a son of God, and he was black. Just because I don't believe he is the 'Son of God' you want me to sit back and say yea he was a white paleface? NONSENSE.

Whites have poisoned the face of Jesus. Thanks to early Christians, this entire world believe Jesus was a paleface.

I could care less if I am a non-Christian. If I know Jesus was black, I'm going to say he was black.

If 1+1=2, what stops the answer from being 2?

You can submit and say as you wish Colonel...your opinion is your right....but you continually deny this issue but you are wrong, and have been.....
The "color" of Jesus is not an issue to one who adheres to the message......not to the appearance.
Interpretations is a word you need to lok up or is that word even listed in a legal book anywhere?!

Scripture is open to interpretation...bet on it buddy!

Deny this issue. I'M TRYING TO DENY IGNORANCE. And I will use Scripture to prove it. Why? Because of this verse:

Matthew 7
22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
