Avatar Preview - Thanks, S. O.!!!

Just noticed, there is a preview of your avatar when you change your avatar in Account Settings! Good Job, SkepticOverlord!

Now, I'm going to check what else has changed there.

On the left is how the preview will look. On the right is how it will look in an actual post

Now, if we could get SkepticOverlord to put a signature preview in there somewhere too, that would be helpful to many members as well. It is sometimes frustrating, to have to go back and forth between a post, and settings, to check formatting.

That would be greatly appreciated by many members, including myself! Thanks, in advance!

Did you say points? PTS is now fertile ground for earning points for those who post thoughtful, well-reasoned contributions. Check out "Social Issues." You might find the experience to be both friendly and rewarding.

it's just that i'm new to this forum (few days only) and i don't have much ATS points to do things like avatars...
Since there are many friendly people on this forum i'll ask few questions :
-what are FSMEs?
-can i upgrade my upload size many times or is it just one time?
-what happens when i click on the link on the "way above" infront of a reply?and for what is that?

As often as you like.

You give that person a Way Above Top Secret vote and they get some points for the vote. At the end of the month the votes are tallied and the winner gets a medal to display on their mini-bio.

i think i'm missing something. aren't avatars changed on the members center and should have points to change the backgroud color...etc

Member center = yes
Background color and font color cost points
Background images cost points
Avatars are free

You set your avatar url in your account setting

You don't buy it in the shop

may you send the link where we can change avatars please?

You can post an avatar from a hosting site such as Photobucket for free, but you will need points to have a background color other than the default color. Fear not. You will get plenty of points when you start posting regularly in the forums.

You need to upload your picture somewhere first. The avatar cannot be wider than 160 pixels
