Seriously though I've met quite a few of these types over the years and I have to say that in the end it really is just Ego, they think they're
smarter and more clever than everyone else.
While they themselves are as fascinated by conspiracy and the paranormal as much as the rest of us, they some how feel entitled to pull these hoaxes
in order to prove to themselves that most people involved in the field are gullible.
And of course this proves (to them) that they are smarter, it's a sick sort of logic.
Basically, in psycho-bable laymens terms, in order for them to feel intellectually superior they go out of their way to try and make others look
This is just based on my own experiences in dealing with hoaxers so I'm always willing to be proven wrong. In the end the money and fame are very
limited and there are actually better ways to make more money.
