Pacific Gas and electric here in the state of California already makes use of geothermal, hydroelectric, wind and solar. It is now looking towards
cows as its next renewable source of methane gas. The product called biogas is made from manuer or as Grandpa Fred used to say "Cow puckey". The
puckey is placed in a airtight collection container which eliminates oxygen and regulates temperature. bacteria break down the puckey and release
methane and CO2. The CO2 is a problem but according to the article, most environmentalist view this as a neutral arrangement and the consumption of
methane that would be released into the atmosphere is a benifit
