Hey guys.
I'm trying to think of awesome truckin' songs, whether it be country or otherwise. Maybe like "king of the road", or like the "Ballad of the Lonely Rider" or "fag song" , but not necessarily. ready, set.......post!

Do you mean like road-trippin songs? If so, Steppenwolf, Creedence, Stray Cats, Bob Marley, the Dead and Tom Petty are a good start. "On the Road Again" by Willie Nelson, or "Jackson" by Johnny Cash and June Carter-Cash are great to start a trip off with. I usually have a line up of tunes that I always listen to on the road, but I couldn't remember them. I think that means I'm overdue for a road-trip.

Great Truckin' Songs Of The Rennaissance, the first greatest hits album of TISM (This Is Serious Mum) will entertain travellers with political and social satire and mirth (as well as a unique blend of electrofunk and hard core something, not sure of the genre) for many a journey (!)

ok I cant remember who this song is by but it ahs to be one of the ultimate trucker songs. It's just goes something like.

"2, 4, 6, 8, moterway. Here my radio truckin' on through the night

3,5 ,7, 9 cross the line, moterway stop coming up to the morning light."

It's soo cheesy and so funny.
Anyone know it?

2-4-6-8 Motorway = Tom Robinson Band.

Tom was the gay pantheon of post punk new wave.
