Its not the first report of a dead bird with the flu in the world, i think you are just talking about spain? In my hometown Falkirk in Scotland there was a bird found to have had the deadly H5N1 strain on March 29th of this year. Nobody had caught anything from it so we are all hopefully going to be ok
