If by GW you mean cooling the Earth, then, yes.

The composition of an eruption does introduce many tons (literally) of gases and compounds like CO2, SO2, HF and H2S which have been labelled as gases harmful to ozone.

And that traces my belief back to the idea that GW is part of the Earth's natural cycle of heating and cooling. For us to believe that we can manipulate something like weather, IMO, is ridiculous and imprudent. Why people believe Kyoto is supposed to change anything (climate wise) is beyond me. Kyoto is third world aid disguised as an environmental treaty. That friends, is the blunt truth.
