ok peeps, I finally got it worked out, due to me being an idiot and all.

that is Red Hat 9, running a transparent, borderless Eterm window, the thing on the right is called Gkrellm, it monitors processes and memory usage, as well as email, etc etc. Xmms (winamps counterpart) for mp3's. KDE window manager....any questions?? My desktop OWNZ! now let's see ya do that with windows
