zip, nada...
so they have a missle... and they sell it to bunches of other countries...

it still is hardly the basis for a overwhelming force is it?

If history has taught us anything, it should be the value of early recognition. Had we recognized and acted upon Hitler in 1938, WWII could have been avoided. If we nip this one in the bud, we could be averting much human misery.

I would sure like to see any visual evidence that North Koreans are starving. I have seen quite a few images that show quite the contrary. Not only are they not starving, but the people living in the cities are pretty moderatley or well dressed as well.

Guess what? You're not going to get any visual output from NK unless it is sanctioned by their gov't. No free press. You can't even visit there and walk around without a gov't escort.

But just to enlighten you to the fact that they are not all happy dancing people, how about this:

Starving North Koreans executed for stealing food
By Ramola Talwar Badam
ASSOCIATED PRESS

BOMBAY — Starving North Koreans have been publicly executed for stealing food and have died of malnutrition in labor camps, Amnesty International said in a report released yesterday.
The human rights group urged the North Korean government to "ensure that food shortages are not used as a tool to persecute perceived political opponents."
The report — released in Bombay at the World Social Forum, an international gathering of antiglobalization activists — records the chilling testimony of North Korean refugees interviewed in South Korea and Japan, and interviews with international aid groups during 2002 and 2003.

Just as how North Korea shows their best to tourists by letting them visit the "good" places, i can picture them doing the same with pictures taken in their countries. Its a pretty isolated country, and wants the rest of the world to believe that their citizens are doing well, so what do you see? Good clothing, plenty of food, what about the people who are not photographed?

I'm betting on it that NK just picks the "perfect" family and parts of the city and shows it through propaganda and documentaries.

But, your vision might just aswell be correct, who knows.

I know. You are correct. Visit the official NK website and you will see that what you say is true. You cannot freely visit NK. No cameras. You need an official escort.

Lots of N. Korea photos here in both negative and positive aspects:
www.militaryphotos.net...

First half of the above thread is a negative spin, similiar if you went to Watts county, LA or Harlem, NYC and shot nothing but the slums and homeless folks. The 2nd part of the DPRK photo thread is the polar opposite and does much to offset the propaganda of the first.

Take a look and decide for yourself.
