that is actually the Hong Kong conference and exhebition centre , built in 1988 and modernised and estended in 1997 .

please view the oficial website

the real issue that ATSers should question is why does google not have ANY reasonable resolution maps availiable for the Hong Kong area ??

see :

the satalite images off Google earth give better resolution that shown - but the map is PATHETIC

i woonder why -- is it a tech glitch , thats just happened , a copyright issue -- or something more sinister

however multimap.com do have a better resolution availiable , Yeah

MULTIMAP_EXPO CENTRE

A VERY FASCINATING BUILDING -- BUT NO SPACE SHIP -- NOT EVEN CLOSE

deny ignorance

No, it's like in Men In Black. They use spaceships as buildings to hide the true purpose.

The weird thing is that it looks like its not really there. ITs as if the building is a computer generated image. It's probably just an illusion created by the resolution of the image, but it's still wierd.

It's good to know that if the building were separated from the ground, itwould be able to fly and land somewhere else...
