in the 'absolute sense of it ???....put this here in 'theology' etc cause the Man JC beat the 'bankers' and threw them out of the Temple and elsewhere told daddy David that the Universe was His House etc and Samuel 1 sam chap 8...you know the story....[mods, feel free to move it, if you want but anyway]

And 'they' are out there in 'space' making money [ selling u 'stars for ur name etc] wherever 'they' can make a buck ...

The main point is how do we get rid of the 'money system' period ?

Those who have plans/ideas on how to do this...please tell us-all here, thanks !

Please only ones who have the plans n the 'cheer' leaders post !

Don't need to hear the reasons why we need money ! That Isn't What The Thread Is About, please ! thanks

LoL + u know the drill !.........Infinity

Thats a tough one.
I think if you got rid of the money system completly
then it would be every man for themselves. Nobody
would do anything for anyone. Gives people incentive
to do stuff. I mean why would someone work at a sewer
treatment plant ?? because he wants to ? probably not.
Why would someone be a clerk at a store ? I mean there
are alot of things people do just for money.

You can't get rid of money. Not with how the world is run today. Maybe way back when it first came about there could have been a chance to do away with it, but not today.

People are GREEDY. You fix that, then you might have a chance. But good luck. Anywho, money is just forced slave labor. You can't live without it these days, greedy people won't let you. Go ahead ... try it.

I suppose you would have to start providing goods and services for free, thus eliminating the need to use money.

It is my understanding that Jesus got angry with the sellers on the Temple steps because they were making a business of the Church right outside of its doors. It was not a problem with "money" but a problem with the intent of the people selling goods and services on the steps. It corrupted the process of what people were supposed to be going to the Church for - fellowship, confessing of sins and asking for forgiveness using sacrifices.

Why do you feel that we need to get rid of the money system? I haven't read where you adequately explained this so I remain a bit confused about why you are asking the question.

I am not wholely pro-money, but we would encounter the same problems with trading sea shells or chickens that we do with printed money. As long as we, as a society, put value on anything, there will be corruption with it.

I agree with what Imbalanced said above about a free society. If there is no personal incentive, no one would do anything except for himself. The only way to get people to be productive would be to instill corporeal fear into them to get them to produce.

Well at times I've realized that we don't need 'money' but I can't access a formula of words to convey it but it is deep within me, that 'money' isn't needed and is a very big problem and also is part of the enslavement/control system...do know that there are people out/in there who can put into words how we can get rid of 'money'...

To the way of getting rid of the silly 'money' game that we spend so much time in 'thought, word n deed' at....and sure in the way that it is set up now...you have to use it, to suvive...thats why the 'controllers have given it to us but there is a way for us to get out of it...

Thanks to the other posters...we may tap-into the 'juice' line yet...

Lolove...ave maria !

I think I understand what you are trying to say, that we have built our social system based on a deep-seated faith in money, applying value to it that it doesn't physically carry. Once we imbue money with value that it doesn't have, people clamor to gather as much money as they can, sometimes sacrificing family, friends, business relationships and personal health in the pursuit of that money when in reality it doesn't have any more value than a Kleenex. Then we tend to lock ourselves into a life-long pursuit thereby "enslaving" ourselves to it.

If that sums it up correctly, then the same might be applied to:

Diamonds
Silver
Gold
Marble (the quarried rock)

If I have summed it up correctly, I can see your point and have thought about this a bit before.

What would the government be able to do if a town, county or state decided to go back to the bartering of goods instead of relying on money being paid for services and goods?

It's not money, but the money system.

Of course, bartering and trading for goods and services is vital to any community--we all have a niche but we need a lot of things--a cobbler doesn't eat shoe leather and a watchmaker doesn't eat cogs. And farmers need shoes and sometimes watches--my grandpa didn't, he had the sun, but you know.

However, looking at this from a biblical perspective (since it is in the faith and spirituality forum and JC was already mentioned) there is a glaring misdeed in our current 'money system.'

If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.
If thou at all take thy neighbour's raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by that the sun goeth down: For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep?
and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious. (Exodus 22:25-27)

Usury is interest, for anyone unaware of the meaning of that word.

And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee. Take thou no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee. Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase. (Leviticus 25:35-37)

The money system is built upon smoke, not bricks--there is less money in existence than has been lent out by banks and credit institutions. Many of the leaders in this realm of society claim to be a follower of the most High God, following either Judaism or Christianity.

Even today, many churches owe money to banks for mortgages and loans taken out when they feel the need to build bigger and better sunday-go-to-meeting places. And the offering (or 'tithes') goes not to the poor and hungry, widows and orphans, but to the money-lenders.

You who boast in Law, do you dishonor God through breaking the Law? (Romans 2:23)

Tell me, those desiring to be under Law, do you not hear the Law?
(Galatians 4:21)

Therefore you must be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience' sake. For because of this you also pay taxes.
For they are God's servants, always giving attention to this very thing.
Therefore give to all their dues; to the one due tax, the tax; tribute to whom tribute is due, fear to whom fear is due, and honor to whom honor is due.
Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves another has fulfilled the Law.
(Romans 13:5-8)

Both Yehoshua and Paul said, essentially: give to Caesar what is Caesar's and give to God what is God's.

And yet churches enjoy tax-exemption in the US.

Caesar isn't getting what is his--neither is God, it would seem. All of it is going to the money-lenders who charge extravagant amounts of interest, compounded annually.

And who suffers? The cobbler, the watchmaker, and the farmer; the poor and hungry, widows and orphans.

As far as 'how do we get rid of it?'

We can't--it will be taken care of, but not by our efforts. God's going to overthrow all this mess--but it is not wrath--more like the natural course of events--planned for 13,000 years and being carried out by mother nature, even as I write this. It's Karma, baby--karma is God's law. Just weights and balances. We, humanity, have tipped the scales dangerously to one side, and whatever must be done to bring them back into a safe equilibrium will be done--it's a mechanism NONE of us have any control over.

Queen -

Until georgejohn clarifies his position by either agreeing or disagreeing, I am not sure that I have his POV correct yet.

But yes, I should have said "money system" and not just "money".
