Actually this is quite serious.

A top US military commander has admitted that US marines in Iraq were so sexually frustrated that after 4 long years, they couldn't control themselves, and these boys went ahead and raped their own female soldiers. these rapes occured during the night. The women soldiers were so terrified that they would not go for a leak after dark.

No one has so far been arrested for raping US females soilders.

Some of these marines have been arrested and charged with raping Iraqi girls. Some troops dont like Arab women and so they went for caucasians types. It appears that some marines were only into uniforms.

In a testimony in New York, Col. Janis Karpinski accused Gen. Sanchez of trying to cover up the rapes by his men of US female troops.

Back to the topic, I do hope that the United States Military see's the light of day and finds the alleged rapists and then tries them, locks them up and gives them 30 years at hard labor.



Or just saves us the money and shoots them.

So much easier to deal with someone who has encoded their life to crimnal acts if they get a bullet in the brain pan, reduces crime too!

This is horrable how can our country do this. Acually one of my friend said that there try get there older sis out cause she said that she was raped. This is *SNIPup it. I thought it was only her but there other to and there trying to cover it up and the fact in we can't let this go on. I'm trying to find other soucers (typo) to see if this is true if I worry for some of my friend over there.

Its not like the country is allowing this to happen, but, well, rape happens.

Your in an army full of 20 something kids, all testosteroned up. They aren't the brightest of people, and majority wise, are coming from troubled homes and areas in towns.

They're running around, killing people, shooting people, getting shot at, and all of that combined, well, it makes it alittle easier.

And besides, how do you expect the officials to catch them? What did he look like? Well, he had a uniform on, and a helmet.. hmm.

Do even the slightest amount of research into what it takes to keep a soldier hydrated in extreme desert conditions - it is a staggering amount of water - especially under combat conditions. Dehydration is a major concern for all soldiers, there are plenty of studies about it. I believe there are even some cases (rare but they happen) of young guys dying of dehydration during basic training.

If you don't stay hydrated continuously you cannot make up for it sufficiently by just drinking a huge amount sporadically either.

I really don't think you can take the dehydration issue to debunk this story. Death in one day from this pattern of behavior may not be a definate outcome, but doing it consistently for days would be a a real problem.

yeah, I mean the Iraqis only had a few do it to the Kuwaitis right? No the American forces are not perfect, but as I have said before, a few bad apples do not an army make....

The military has always been a microcosm of society.

You'll always have your murderers, rapists, druggies, boozers, incompetents, the geeks, the gangsta's, the scammers, the thieves, etc.

When i was in Japan i never locked my vehicle or my house out in town, no need to, the Japanese wouldn't bother it. However on any US base, my car or my house (once i moved on base) was always locked.

I also don't drink late in the day, so i don't have to get up at night to use the porta-johns here. Nothing worse than stumbling around in the dark to find a stanky porta john just to take a pee. If i have to, that's what pee bottles (empty Gatorade or water bottles) are for. Females use'em as well.

Porn on cable tv? I dont think so. Your standard cable TV channels might be a bit more lax, but actual hard core porn is a big no-no period, unless you rent the videos. Soft porn is available only on special pay channels.

In fact, In europe, I see far worse stuff on your standard TV channels. I see stuff that can be classified as hardcore. I see nudity and sex uncensored.

I do not see what owning large beefy cars has to do with soldiers in Iraq and their behavior.

Are you suggesting that female MARINES do not carry guns? Or is it that they are not smart enough to have armed latrine patrols? At the least I would imagine that they would have a community bucket. This story seems fishy. I know that women in the military get raped. I just doubt this story.

I'm retired Navy and from the female Marines I've known this would never happen, at least not more than once!

Actually, without saying the article is either real or not, in a hot desert you need to keep drinking continuously. Combined with heavy activity I can imagine you pass our quite quickly. I know cause I've been to deserts myself, and you are loosing water faster than most people understand.

I don't know if a healthy person ever died from lack of water, even in the desert, if it only lasted half a day but fainting would be very likely. If a person was already drinking insufficiently it could definately kill.

They are trained to kill right? I can imagine it happening once in a camp, but if it happened multiple times ... and exactly how far from the sleeping quarters are the latrines?! Surely a raped woman would scream? And alert dozens of armed soldiers? Are the latrines situated kilometers away or something?

I dunno know about the story. But im sure soldiers have raped. They are afterall already trained to objectify fellow human beings and to not give a *SNIP* about their enemies feelings. Who they see as their enemy and what the objective is, is something they can decide for themselves.
