NORAD on Alert??

Not true Justmytype. Cheyenne Mountain is home to the US Space Command. That's where all the tracking of objects in orbit, and everything is done. That's why they're on a higher alert.

Vandenberg is the site of one of the missile intercept launchers IIRC. That's probably why they were on alert.

The defensive system currently consists of 11 ground-based interceptor missiles, nine deployed at Fort Greely, Alaska, and two at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.
