I think you should expect spam anywhere that human ingenuity can find a way to shove it in your face. People will always find a way to try to sell their unwanted crap.

Advertising is the driving force behind the internet and if you want to view the content of a page your gonna have to put up with the ads.
What bothers me the most is the porn spam that gets sent to email addresses that belong to children. These people send their junk to any address they can get and don't care if it's a 40 year old adult or a 12 year old child.
No kid needs viagra, but the spam keeps coming.
No kid needs to watch porn, but still, the spam keeps showing up in the in-box.

As I recall, I had a very vivid imagination in the era before the internet, and I didn't need "Big Busted Women" in my email to get my rocks off.

God help the children, I just hope we're not raising a generation that is totally desensitized to all that is good in this world................

I get plenty of those spam comments too. The magical blog program junks most of them, and I junk the ones it misses.

Most definitely!

My blog is set to publish comments automatically and the spam filter catches every one of them. Out of seven spam comments, it's junked five automatically and held the other two back for approval.

*edited to add the the ones that were held back were the missed ones I mentioned. So I guess that makes them not missed after all. SO's catching all of them.
