how many points do you need to get into "really above top secret"?
And whats so special about it?

5,000 points. It's a place that's exempted from google searches, so people can post things they wouldn't normally post for fear of someone finding it when searching. Like if they were talking about their business, if their boss was doing a search for it, then if it's in RATS he won't find it on google.

I could tell you, but then they'd have to kill us both. We've pretty much proven everything and taken the mystery out of life in there though.

Seriously though, it's 2500 points per podcast.

Which means......2 podcasts and you're "in".

Be warned though, R.A.T.S., although interesting, may not be all that you could be building it up to be in your head.

I too am not so keen on the point system, fair enough a podcast I can see the amount of points.. but to those of us who don't want want to podcast have a long, long wait!

I still consider myself fairly new (have been on this site for more than a year mind!), I have posted 350 times and yet am still nowhere near the 5000 mark.. even then thats 5000 points for only a months access.. hardly seems like much point in my eyes!

I understand why the tagging system was removed, stil a damn shame as it was a good way to gain points!

True, it is quite a chunk of points.

Keep in mind though, that's a one time deal, it's only 250 per month after that.

You are slightly mistaken here, it is 5000 up front. then it is 250 per month after that.
