I ran across this article a little while ago, Breach affects 40m+ credit cards. Apparantly, a hacker got into the system and exported information on roughly 200,000 credit cards. It seems like there is no security or privacy left in this world anymore. If it's not a government agency letting a laptop get "stolen" with personal information on it, it's the credit card companies getting hacked into.

Slow-Moving Currents

It's an interesting story, to be sure, but the article you cited is almost a year old.

Doesn't seem very current for a forum called "Other Current Events".

Can you offer anything more recent on this topic?

hehehe Sorry about that! I didn't pay attention to the date when I read the article... That's what I get for not paying attention!

ROFL...

Even my reply would be too late for this topic, but what I can tell you...

is this..

Credit Card companies and many other companies dealing with finances are no longer reporting database breaches.

Why?

IF reports were given out on a daily basis, they will expect huge amounts of customers losses.
