Scared the pants off me for years...I'm over it now though....mostly!

I fear the potential for a corrupt government to assume complete control over the land as take away all our property rights (the laws are in place to do so). I have a recurring nightmare of martial law being instituted and people being rounded up, segregated, and branded based on their beliefs. There are concentration camps for most of the population and the elite are livin' large. Those that are "free" (on the loose) are being hunted to be sent to camps. It's scary as hell and I wake up in a cold sweat each time I have the dream. The part that freaks me out is that its becoming more vivid and more realistic each time I have it. Really freaks me out!

Beyond that, not much scares me. Well, maybe cockroaches. And carneys. They smell like cabbage.

I fear scientologists because they make mormons look normal.....

Seriously though I am deadly allergic to bees if I get stung and don't have access to either an epi-pen or a hospital well death will ensue almost indefinatly. I almost learned the hard way when i was a child and a bee stung my tongue, after it landed on my doughnut. Oh well I guess that's what happens when you don't pay attention.

Elaborate social interaction (social anxiety disorder)
Isolation (ironically lol)
The possibility of losing one's memory
Loss of contact with friends and other loved ones
Spiders, centipedes, ants, roaches, moths, and several other insects

The thing I fear most is the slow, lingering death most of us will probably die, thanks to the marvels of modern medical science. I hope I go with my mind and dignity reasonably intact. Less rationally, I hate the thought of surgery and invasive medical procedures in general. I think I might just opt to die instead.

Wonderful question for a post, wu kung.

I'm affraid of being lost in the forest, so I never go into them very far..maybe a 100 feet... and when I do...I'm constantly looking for something to be a land mark to find my way out.

I'm affraid of snakes, I hate them all..even garden snakes. They are the creepiest critters around!

I'm affraid of big cities, like San Fransisco, LA, even Portlan Or. I don't want anything to do with them. I get nervous as all get out, and I won't go without my husband.

Edit* Yeah and when I was a kid I was scared to death of the Burmuda Triangle!!!

This is too easy. I'm not scared of anything (really, I'm not)... except lies.

Like Baack and infinite, I also suffer from coulrophobia. Sit my claustrophobia on top of that and I'm screwed in circus elevators.

Little tiny holes, like the ones found on crumpets or sponges. I don't know why, but they've always made my skin crawl. I think I remember reading something about a disease that has that effect on the brain, that would possibly be the very worst thing I can imagine.

Any insects with any type of "fur" are a bit "evil" for my liking too, like bees and catterpillars.

I fear that the Men In Black are real, . . . .but not real people.
Are they part of the shadow government that doesn't want me
to learn the truth about anything ?

If I find something out that I'm "not-supposed-to-know",
what will happen ? Will they come for me ? Ruin my life ?

Wait . . . .someone's turning the doorknob right now . . . . . . . . .

spiders and asphyxiation. spiders much more so than anything else. i'm a fairly tough dude, so reducing me to a sobbing, shuddering mess means that i'm mighty damn scurred.

Chuck Norris... but who isn't

and, I don't know, I'm afraid of some situations sometimes, but the crazy thing is, when I fear something, I *have* to face it, it's like a sick obsession or something.
I think I'm the most afraid of not being myself.

This is the thing I'm most afraid of, and oddly enough, I watch every movie and tv show about them. Jaws is my favorite movie, and I love Shark Week on Discovery. I love them and fear them greatly at the same time.

I also hate and fear spiders, snakes, and basically all of those creepy crawly things.

Fear of heights. Fell off the 2nd story of a two story house while shingling a roof. Broke my collarbone, and a couple ribs.
