I was out with a digital SLR last night in Milwaukee at Dusk. I was testing rapid capture so the pic before this and after had nothing in it.

Planes do fly over, but I don't know that I have ever seen them fly over the city. Actually I know I haven't They come along the lake shore, or straight in from the lake.

There is a possibility its a plane leaving the airport, but again, its to far north in my opinion. The airport is way south of the city. On the other side of the valley.

If anything I think its a provoking picture for myself. I don't care what other people say. I did not see this when I took the picture. It shows that you aren't always aware of your surroundings.

Fun stuff.

If anyone wants the original its like 2.16MB. I can email it, you can analyze the exif data. Its legit. I wouldn't waste my time or yours otherwise.

Peace.

Nice to see someone actually posted a picture with their sighting, i was expecting to read an imaginative story with nothing to back it up.

Nice pic

As for what it is, im not sure, i like the enlargement, almost reminded me of the old krill saucers? you know the ones.

One question, if you didn't see it when you took the picture what was your intent?
To take a picture of the building??

It appears to be a bird in flight. Sorry, but I call them the way I see them
Do you have hawks in your area?

Yep. I agree. If you look at the blown up pic of it, you can see the wings of the bird and it's tail.

It's a bird. You can tell by the shape and can easily see the wings.

I see it now, The curve of the wing looked domelike.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Loco,

First off, welcome to ATS, and thanks for sharing your photo with us!

I've been through the Milwaukee area a couple times, great place. Beer, bratwurst and deep-fried cheese curds, gotta love it!

I have a question: Are seagulls common in the Milwaukee area?

Edit: ehem, uh... yup... seagull. Anyways, welcome to the boards, and keep lookin up!

Very, especially near garbage dumps, or in this case.. The Island project.

They are creating or expanding an Island on lake michigan near the shore, the stirred up soil is a happy place for scavengers.
