I have a few questions.....

1. Each and every new country starts from scratch. What makes some countries flourish and some be poor with slums everywhere?

Is it luck? Chance? Economics?

2. What do you need to be able to create your own country?

3. Is there really any land left to create your own country?

4. Can ATS realistically start its own country?

1. Natural recourses, climate, number of inhabits.

2. Money

3. You could buy a piece of land, like the Israeli's did, but you might end up having huge conflicts with the origional land owners

4. It could be possible, but highly unlikely...

well i don't exactly know what is required to be recognised as a country, but apparently there's some guy who managed to set one up in his apartment. dont ask me how, but somehow it's all been approved through the UN and stuff. i'll try and find a link to back that up,.

No one's mentioned my favorite new country: CuervoNation! (go to www.josecuervo.com) Cuervo, as in tequila, bought an island and declared independence. They petitioned the UN for recognition as a new country, but were ignored.
