MIAMI - Calling them "homegrown terrorists," Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said Friday that seven men had been charged with conspiring to work with al-Qaida to blow up Chicago's Sears Tower and five federal buildings.“They were persons who for whatever reason came to view their home country as the enemy,” Gonzales said at a news conference at the Justice Department. The suspects include U.S. citizens and legal immigrants. Gonzales cited court documents that said the ringleader boasted of wanting to "kill all the devils we can" in a mission "just as good or greater than 9/11."

Breaking news in the last hour.

Note the emphasis on how these alleged terrorists were "U.S. citizens" and "legal immigrants" waging war against their own home country. They imply that the enemy is not overseas, but hidden in the heart of America. Could these events slowly force us into the loss of our civil rights, all for the sake of protecting ourselves from our own people?

A group of citizens conspiring with "al-Qaida" connections, who's never named, and the attacks were foiled just in time..

Sounds very simular to the recent Toronto "terrorist" bomb plots.. what do you think?
