Man, you 16 year olds need to turn off the computer, get out of you house and cause some trouble. You're 16 for gods sake. When I was 16 you wouldn't catch me dead at home on Friday night. Go get drunk, skateboard, go see a local band, sneek in to a bar or hang out at Denny's. You only have a few years left of being legally immune to alot of things. Don't spend those years on BTS.

This coming from a "big dork". Hmm..I never did those things and spent all my time working on older computers and researching. I had zero interest in socializing and more interest in knowledge and was way into Star Wars. I think the less kids today that can be turned in to druggies and alchies the better.
I think that as long as the little dude is not looking at porn and drinking and drugging than he should not be critisized for his pastimes and is doing better than most.

So, what. Instead of going out and experincing being a teenager, they should sit at home a figure out the best way to tape there glasses together with a band-aid? No way. They won't turn in to druggies or alchies, it's adolesence. It's what you're supposed to do.

What's the big deal? If thats what he wants to do than fine. Just cause you did that doesnt mean everyone else should. Does going out drinking make your day? Well thats great. It certainly doesnt define being a teenager. I understand your point. The whole concept of being irresponsible. Its a great concept but doesnt necessarily apply to everyone.

You gotta live life. I am with Not Too Happy on this one, get out and have fun. You are only young once. I would kill to have back the days hanging out with my friends and just having a good time.

If you think that a 16 year olds Friday nights should be spend playing with old computers, then you really need to get out. And I mean right now. I don't want to sound mean here, but really. Those are the years of your life that you will look back on when you are older and laugh about and recount with your old friends. Hopefully you will have some stories that are more interesting than how your old computer used to have a 4 1/4 inch floppy drive.

Setting foot outside the front door on a weekend does not turn you into a druggie or an alcoholic.

I was referring to the references that NOTTOHAPPY made regarding sneaking into bars and getting drunk to have fun.
Yes by all means go out and have fun but if having fun consists of staying at home reading or playing online than go for it.
Who's to say that your wasting your time?
Thats all.
