Who do you think will be a mod?

Who do you think will be a mod in months or years time ?

I think Mechanic or Chissler becuase there just so darn helpful around here

Well allow me to thank you for the consideration, but I'm not doing anything that was not already done for me in the past.

It was only a few months ago the Admin announced a new batch of deserving Mods, and none of them were much of a surprise. I remember noticing the thread, and rhymed off most of them in my head before opening the thread. So it will probably be awhile before any other members are promoted to a staff member.

But unfortunately, that's not the way things work here.

The Admins, and probably the rest of the staff make athe ultimate determinations.

There is a thread posted here, somewhere that explains it in more detail.

If I find it, I'll post the link to it.

I think Enkidu would be an excellent choice. From another point on the scale, sleeper would be perfect also.

I'm argumentative, vindictive, I push the point past the threshold of good sense. I'm infammatory, an epiblast on the skin of ATS.

Hell, I've even been accused of running with scissors in here.

What I'm saying is, basically . . . that I'm immoderate.

I don't moderate zealousness and rigid, doctrinaire stances.

I exacerbate them.

In public. While people watch.

And so, though I'll never be a mod, I don't feel bad or petty. I mean, c'mon; we all know I'm just . . . not . . . mod material. And that's OK. I perform my necessary role as well.

Someone has to be the Knecht Rupprecht, the Ebeneezer Scrooge, to all you Santa Clauses in here.

After all, if everyone were up on the stage, walking the boards as actors in this comedy troupe of a website---if everyone were in the cast; well who, pray tell, who would sit in the audience and throw roses and shout Huzzahs and pelt you gently with accolades and dinner invitations. Who would hang outside your dressingroom door waiting to pester you for an autograph, or to toast you with inexpensive champaigne?

Let it be me.

I'm like those two old geezers up in the balconey of the "Muppet Show," farting and making snide comments and generally acting like a senile pain in the butt.

I think Tom Cruise is going to become the next mod and make us all convert to Scientology. I am hopeing a nice box of will keep him away from me though.

I also think Chissler would make a great moderater. I have never seen him get angry when disagreeing with someone and I have seen him post a lot of helpful and insightful posts.

Why me of course :-)

But then the power would go to my head and I'd end up banning everyone, and I'd have no one on here to chat with, so it's probably a bad idea ;-)

Theres always a few surprises in the bunch of moderators. At first, when the new bunch were called in to protect and sever, there were plenty that I totally werent surprised about, but some I didnt see as mods. But they turned out great.

That my friends is what you call a Freudian slip!
