I don't know, he has a point.
For all our military prowess, it we couldn't stop an attack by four lumbering commercial jets, let alone a mach 15 ICBM.
What ought to keep the North Koreans from doing anything foolish is not some magical shield against ICBM's that may or may not work, but the fact
that the US is capable of retaliating at least a thousand-fold for any attack by North Korea.
The NMD system might be capable of taking out an incoming ICBM. SM-3 might be capable of taking out the missile in it's boost phase.
But I wouldn't want to bet my life on either.
What does give me some reassurance is the fact that NK has to know that any nuclear attack on the US would be a suicidal act.
