What I find interesting is that he calls the reporter by his first name. How could he not have known???

Yeah for sure, it would be embarrassing making fun of a guy for wearing shades then finding out he wears them for medical conditions. But I think Bush has had more embarrassing moments than that.

You know what they should impeach Bush for this... this is outrageous what a crime it is terrible.. Bush should have known this guy personally and then went over to him and escorted him to the podium and introduced him and said that this guy is blind and wants to ask me a question and I want to be sure I understand what he is talking about...

The reporter was a good sport about it I think. "I guess it depends on your perspective" was a great response. He didn't take it personally unlike the rest of the press corp that can't wait to print anything that can be interpreted as President Bush is an idiot.

Now if I had been that reporter I might have said...
"I had told him I was blind earlier; and when I did the President just looked at me sinisterly-like he was about to order someone to remove me. Then before questioning the President kept making little gestures at me with his figures by his eyes... the whole thing was witnessed by CNN staff."

So yeah Bush was lucky. But it’s the sort of comment i might have done had I not known. And I’m glad for honesties sake that the right thing was done. I'm not just in the mood for feeling sorry for Bush right now.

I think he knew his first name due to Seating charts that are usually provided.
I'm pretty sure thats the usual MO..

I don't know if Bush is that intelligent to pick something like that up. And I can't say I necessarily am ether.
But if he did know then dumb blind man. He should have ripped into Bush. But given that he didn't I guess he's ether a Republican or the President's innocent. Did you know this is perhaps the first time I’ve immediately thought the President was innocent? Wow what a change!!!
