Woman snaps pics of creature in her yard.

looks like a monkey/chimp to me. Its posture does not resemble that of a dogs.

The posture doesn't look at all like a simian of any kind. THEY have more upright postures with regards to the front part of their bodies, so there is a steep slope from shoulders to rump.
The dog posture is on a more even plane.
Further, look at the tibia/femur/hock ratio. Clearly that of a canid, and NOT a primate. Some one ever so kindly provided diagrams.
And to whomever though pig, well, the thighs are too skinny for that, even on a starved pig, which it would NOT have been, seeing all the greenery around it.
The more I looked at this the more I am convinced it is a dog of some kind.

Im not going to argue you. Im just wondering, any idea what kind of dog it would be?

I also dont see the tail being that of a dogs

this looks like a baboon to me or a dog with some kind of back problem, this creature is very intrieging and i wish the women could of gotten a couple more photos

definately looks like a dog to me, some people seem the think its foot is showing but that is just the lower part of the leg leading to the paw and not a monkey foot, id say a whipet or greyhound but it could just be some starving mongrel

Thank god for people like you. The first time I saw the picture I was like "Brindle Pit bull mix, stupid lady. How is this news?" I scroll down to see,

"Baboon!"

"It has what looks to be a human foot."

"Cougar"

Like Dead Flag Blues, I am convinced it is a dog if the pit bull persuasion. Even the tail looks to me like a pit bull tail.

The foot resembles a human foot! Very strange! It doesn't look like any bobcat that I have seen!

i showed my friend the photo and he said its a moose...i was like O.o, no way, i mean its furry, my first thought is this a werewolf ? but i'm not sure, becouse its big O.o, but then again, werewolfs are big too xD, and they look like um humans but they are furry, bad thing that we cannot see the face, we would know better

i think its a whippet because of the stiff tail and the way the back is curved.
i also saw the long legs and knees that were down closer to the foot

Doesn't look like a dog at ALL....

I don't believe that's a cat. It looks fairly canine in the hindquarters.

Starving dog with foliage covering where it's face is.

I see nothing feline about it and I sure do not see monkey when I look at it.

I noticed the back foot also. It really looks like a human foot. What is on it's head? It kind of looks like a Ram's head. Strange.
