Cougars have very short hair even if it went for a dip first. the animal (dog) in questions is to scrawny to be a cougar.

so far there have been many good ideas. Here's a few images of ideas already presented, and of course, my 2 cents.

Brindle Boxer, exhibit 1

It is very unlikely, but possible this is a boxer that didn't have its tail cropped. I have owned 3 Boxers, and there is no similarity in my eyes.

Brindle Bull Terrier, exhibit 2

That would have to be not only a skinny bull terier, but a young one as well. Wrong build, too slender in the rear hips. Nope

Brindle Grey Hound, exhibit 3

hmmm...very close

Brindle Whippet, exhibit 4

hmmm...even closer

Google turned up zero images for brindle rhodesian ridgeback, so scratch that one.

A tasmanian tiger maybe ?

wouldn't that be a hoot ?!?

I have to vote brindle Greyhound

Hey Syrinx,

While no brindling per se, rhidgebacks do have various brindled coats at times and it is not wholly uncommon. Their coats also range from white to black and everything in between. Anyhoo, here's pics of lots of different ridgebacks if anybody is interested.

As usual I am not affiliated with any of these sites...but doggies are cute ain't they?

That's all I could find but I'm sure there are more.

It almost looks like the hind end of a monkey.
It sure doesn't look like a bobcat like the lady said.

Your having trouble with the link so I hosted the pic on ATS for you.

Monkeys knees bend forwards like ours do. Its doesn't look anything like a bobcat either, they are much stockier...its either a wild dog or coyote.

this looks like a baboon to me... except the butt.

Why would a dog have a pink face?

Why would "pink flowers" have eyes and a nose?

..................

One thing that I thought of while reading this thread was BUSH's speach from about a year ago when he said that the GOVT. shouldn't be messing with geneticly combining different animal species...

maybe we are all correct...maybe this is a New "Baboon Dog"? .... lol

And I thought the Govt was trying to make "pig men"

It looks like it could be a baboon or a monkey of some sort. The tail, the muscular hind legs and the snout.

Pie

First thing that came to my mind was Baboon as well, but the tail doesn't seem to match. It may just be a wild dog.

I see Hyena too but it took me a little while to find an image that looks similar but I think I got one.

I still say its a hyena or just a dog.

Ive outlined what I think are flowers and foliage in red and the dog in black. I think the dog has its left leg raised while its head is either sniffing the ground or looking towards the human talking the picture.

I would say its DEFINATELY NOT a Dog.

1. Dogs DONT have Pink Faces
2. Dogs have SNOUTS... not a little pointy nose that extends 1 inch from its face.

This is some type of Primate... I am 100% sure!

My perspective says that the pink flowers obscures the dog face.

The snout and ear thing is just flowers, bushes with flowers on them.

I think this picture is being debated because of this; some people will see the snout werewolf thing and say so but others will see that the foliage and flowers are actually obscuring the dogs face thus making it look like some snarling weredog thing escaped from wallmart.

no way is it grey hound look at the head area you can clearly see a biger head than that of a greyhound i'd go with monkey cause the hind legs just give that monkey feel to me when i saw it

I was also thinking tasmanian tiger as soon as I saw the picture The thing is, how did it get to America? I think a grey hound is not really the sort of animal that would kill other dogs. It would have to be something bigger I think. I doubt its a monkey and its not a cat I don't think. I'm gonna go with the whole pitbull thing. They can be that colour, attack other dogs and it seems like a pitbulls kinda build. Hopefully they'll find out sometime soon.

It looks like that animal that was found I think like last year. It ended up being some sick animal that didn't had any hair. I think it was small tiger but it was a cat like animal.

Your all wrong. Except grover

Look at the back coloration and body type. It is so obvious.
On behalf of any good hunter on this board.
ITS A COYOTE

They wonder into yards all the time.
The local coyotes to that area have simular fur coloration and size.
If anyone else has said coyote, i didn't see it.
