Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat?

Come one Street Fighter was never even close to being remotely close to Mortal Kombat.

I agree that Tekken was better than both but I was a fan of them all.

Streetfighter vs XMen was my fav the longest. Used to spend hours at the arcade playing

Mortal Kombat always seemed a little fruity to me.

Too many special moves, too much fixed form, it takes too long!

Two words basically sum it up for me.
"Finish him!"

Ya know, I'm not a big fan of either SFII or MK. Hell, I'm not a big fan of fighting games in general. I find their gameplay stiff, uninspired, and limited.

... But that being said, I just LOVE Smash Bros!

Mortal Kombat was always my favourite... i played as Sub Zero in EVERY GAME (he was in).

However, MK has been knocked off its perch for me by Soul Calibur, and to a lesser extent Super Smash Bros.

This is a tricky one, but i'd have to say Street Fighter 2

Easy one Street Fighter 2 it was much more fluid and had more strategy than Mortal Kombat all Mortal Kombat really had going for it was the finish him effects and gore.

Street fighter 2 is still one of my all time favourite games I think it pinacled at Super Street fighter although the later ones are fun as well.

I liked Street Fighter better.Im not saying Mortal Kombat is bad I just don't like it as much.I kind get sick of hearing FINISH HIM so many times.

Mortal Kombat because fatalities are so death metal.

street fighter II for sure.

when i was 13 i used to go down to the arcade after school and play the original SFII and got so exited when champion edition came out cause you could play as the bosses. also had SFII-Turbo on the SNES. and i'm still playing various steet fighter games on emulators on my laptop (with a logitech controller)
