What if you had all of Superman’s abilities and are an active super hero.

What circumstances would you turn your head on? What crimes are too small for you to bother with?

Would you just be concerned with major crisis or would you make those stops to get cats out of trees?

I would probably call the local Fire Department on my way past to the bigger stuff...like forcing all of the worlds leaders to sit in one long row of kindergarten-size chairs so I could smack all their heads together like a bunch of coconuts until they got serious and figured things out.

But that's just me...

I think the problem Superman would face is knowing where to draw the line. When is it simply a matter of making humans take responsibility for their own actions? Furthermore, protecting people from every tiny little misdeed can have a dangerous cumulative effect. For an idea of what I mean, check out the Elseworlds release Superman: Red Son, which details what would have happened if Superman's craft had landed in the USSR instead of Kansas.

In this story, Superman becomes a well-meaning dictator, protecting humans even from themselves. With his great powers, he is able to monitor every person on Earth 24 hours a day to ensure that nobody speaks against him or does anything he considers harmful or deviant. The point the story makes is that, whilst Superman can stand as the protector of the Earth, his unimaginable powers could easily be turned to evil, even if he begins with good intentions.

I'd try to stay away from the little stuff. I want to empower and inspire the "regular folks" instead of fighting all of their battles for them, ya know?

I wrote a Superman movie script a couple of years ago wherein he talks about this conundrum. Obviously, you can't take care of everything. You can't save everybody. Every second you "waste" by being Clark Kent and doing normal human things is time you could be working to save people. People die because you take the time to brush your teeth.

So what it basically boils down to is that Superman does as much as he can to handle the big crises, and then rescues cats from trees if they happen to fall within his area of attention and he doesn't have anything else pressing. Then, mentally, he just has to try to accept that people die, he can't save them all, and the time he takes to rescue that cat means people will die.

He tries to accept it, but it still eats at him, which is why he becomes so bitter and kind of "retires" later in his life.

To be honest i would quickly rise up as a enemy of humanity. Not because I would hurt any innocents , but because i would be ill-tempered when it comes to the Preditors of society, I'm not talking about jaywalkers, people who cheat their taxes or even burglars.

I dish out justice on rapist, child pornographers, Countries that don't do a thing against genocide, Slavery rings.

and would try to tackle discrimination, healthcare as well as starvation.

I think any moral person would find themselves straying to more important global issues and human rights issues over stopping bank robbers.

and the world powers would more than likely label someone like that a criminal and murderer as opposed to somebody taking out the trash.

I would hate to be put in that position.

If there really would be such a thing this would be a posslbilty that even though you protect some you cant protect all. This would lead to some people hateing you for not being there for them. But if I did have these ablities I would protect people until I am emotionally crushed for seeing all the people I could of saved but was busy with my personal life.

I would go to Sam's Club and buy a trailer of charcoal. Then I would go to all the effective organizations that are helping local people. I would super compress the coal into diamonds and help fund all the people that are already making society better but don't have enough funding to go forward......
