"THE SPECTRUM TWILIGHT": An Offchute UFO Cult to "Mulderism" and "Heaven's Gate".

Topic started on 12-6-2006 @ 05:08 AM by Wisconsin

You wanna see weird?? Read this thread and you'll see spiral weird. Religions or cults or sects have divisions. Everybody knows that. The Mulderites are no acception. I hate these "so- called" discention in the ranks. To understand a bit about The Mulderites, go to their website on Google. Or, Go to the Google.com website and punch up "Mulderites". Or, go to my thread on the Secret Societies section of this website about Mulderism.

Anyhow, this offchute branched off from the Mulderite head body to form a Heaven's Gate styled cult that call themselves "The Spectrum Twilight". Why don't they just call themselves Heaven's Gate 2?? "The Spectrum Twilight" believes in not only the Bible and Koran but UFOs to tie together the loose ends. They favor suicide if the person is living accordingly with the monastic lifestyle and shuns the world. Give me a break! The Spectrum Twilight deems suicide as "turning down a better life from God when He offers it to you to stay in a wicked world". That is their definition of suicide. But, they don't judge someone in their group if they don't "leave this world" or "shed their containers". However, they do condemn suicide if it's done outside of their group. I've looked for their website. Nana. Nothing,-Yet. My cousin's sister in law went to this group. God help her soul.

Well, you guys asked for weird and you got a weird thread. I hope the moderators approve of it.

Cults have always worried me - and I often wonder what the atrtraction of them is to those who join.

My pastor figures, and my cousin agrees, that the attraction to exotic cults such as "The Jehovah's Witnesses", "Heaven's Gate", "Mulderism" or its newest offchute "Spectrum Twilight", is the controversy behind these movements of believers. These people are screaming for attention in a world that otherwise ignores them and shuns them because they can't fit in or have trouble integrating to society. So, in his opinion, the person thumbs their nose at the "rejecting world" and decides to spite them by retaliating against them and their ways.

As for me, it may sound like I hate the Mulderites or other groups such as this Spectrum Twilight thing that my cousin's sister in law went to. I'm not saying that. I do sound passionate because I'm not used to different people. I grew up mainstream- not different. But, I should learn to tolerate those that are different. Maybe the world would be a better place if we learned to accept one another. I don't know.

Sincerely,

Wisconsin

Yup, these people are truly warped. I would say that are six cans short of a six pack.

Have you ever had any former cult members on the show?
I read on other web pages about them and they come up with pretty shocking stories. Reckon that'd be a good show.

?? just how or when does G_D...offer this better life ??

One way might be that:
the SpectrumTwilight followers had a NDE (Near Death Experience)
and the individuals Higher Self declined to go on to that
rewarding experience in paradise/heaven...opting instead
to continue on this plane of life on this planet [?Wicked World?].

?? i haven't found anything on the cult-sect-group,
but i would be interested to learn, hear about, if these 'followers' did
have the NDE as the shared experience
and that common issue kinda binds them together on a 'deeper' level.

there was once a thingey, where Indian Holy people were thought to
willfully "Dis-corperate" i.e. left their bodies, without a violent end-
-a highly sanitized & gussied up death by force of sacrifical will....
i reckon they all killed themselves off
like the Buddhist Monks who set themselves on-fire in '60s protests

The Spectrum Twilight, from what my cousin's Mulderite sister in law told me, is basically Heaven's Gate all over again. This means that they believe that Mulder is a prophet and follow Applewhite's doctrines. They don't have a website, yet. That is the scary part "yet". The Mulder Exotica cult, the guys that get drunk and stoned to acheive a higher level of atonement with Mulder, don't have a website either, "yet". There is information about this on the google.com. What I did was I went to Google and typed up "Mulderism". I got this article in Wiki called User: Mulderism. This article, either written from an active or former member of the cult is highly detailed. If you want info on the Twilight Spectrum, I'll see if my cousin can track down his sister in law who went to the S.T. It will be hard though. When she went to this offshoot, she left her husband and family. She's pretty much gone.

St Udio, you know when you mentioned to me how you wanted to check out this Spectrum Twilight Mulderite Offshoot UFO cult. I brought it up to my cousin who got a hold of his sister in law when he heard she was staying at a motel while recruiting and here's what she said about it. It's pretty stupid and you'll agree when I tell yu'. She said and I quote... "The advance levels above human aren't looking for anybody right now. They have a hand full of us right now and for now. Don't come to us. We'll come to you." Stupid huh? I think it is. Sounds to me like religious bigotry. Actually, it IS religious bigotry. I wouldn't worry about it, StUdio. They sucked on too many popsicles LACED with acid and are tripping out. LOL

Actually, dude, they changed their name. They're now called Gods Gates. Been to their website. WOE! Totally left field, man! Totally left field. What they claim to be, from what I gathered, is Heaven's Gate's TWIN BROTHER. These guys hold up Heaven's gate as heroes for leaving this world. Their website URL is: webspawner.com... and already they're generating loads of contraversy for making such claims and calling anybody who doesn't side with them "THE LUCIFERIAN MANIFESTO"! Too much chronic? I would say so.

I would certainly be interested in an ex cult member for the show - let's have some suggestions.

I checked out this God's Gate website. Sounds more like a "tribute" to Heaven's Gate- more of a 'monkey see, monkey do' faith. It would appear to be a carbon copy of Heaven's Gate. They favor suicide on their second page of their website. I can see, based on what Spike says, how it could send a chill up someone's spine. But, they take the Biblical example out of context. Even a donkey knows that.
