Maximum characters

Is anyone elses wrong?

I looked back on the thread, I should have a count of 6000

6,000 -- Senior members with a post count between 500 and 1,000

As I have 617 posts, 618 after this - Yet I have a maximum character count of 8000

characters (8000 maximum)

Anyone else got the same thing?

why would you want 6000 when you have 8000 already

Tut tut. Why on earth did you even bring this up? If you make a bit extra on the side, why tell the tax office bout it? I was going to say. But then I too noticed that there is an 8000 character limit. Not that I'd ever use all of them in normal posting. Howsabout we leave it, and concentrate on getting the new links panel at the top back to a nice grey colour and away from that horrible beige?!

Come to think of it, I noticed yesterday, or the day before I have 10,000.

I doubt it. Even Simon's essays tend to be concise and to the point.

Hopefully someday he'll overcome this unfortunate tendency.

In the meantime, I guess I should see if I can work out a way to lease some of that prime 50k real estate.

I think you're right. Hell MUST have frozen over if MAJIC is posting one liners. I usually get comfortable when I see he's replied to a thread, because I know it's gonna take awhile to read what he wrote.

Man, I am SO going to get one-linered for this.

Are the limits decided based on the particular member's average post length? Because it seems funny to me that I've been posting lots of posts around 6000 characters long, and I just noticed about a week ago that it was bumped to 8000. Is it based on post length or is it based on how long we've been members? Or, is there a specific criterion that determines which amount we're alloted? Any and all info would be appreciated.
