More lies. It DOES matter. How can you be "born" a Jew if you're parents not truly Jews? So, yes, one would HAVE to come from the 12 tribes of Israel. So, it DOES matter.

i gotta agree with colonel on this one. how can a person be born a jew if neither parent is jewish? thats like saying i'm asian even though neither of my parents are asian. apparently if i want things to be a certain way all i have to do is say so and its so.

see how stupid this sounds?

judaism is a religion, not a race. thats like saying christians are a race, muslims are a race or buddhists are a race.

i also have a question. if a jewish person is a jew then are all christians christ? just wondering.

Where do you get this racist “Jews aren’t really Jews” bull?

In Israel today about 20% of the population or 1.2 million is Arabic/Muslim. These Arab-Israeli citizens enjoy all the same rights, representations and privileges as are enjoyed by Israel’s Jewish and Christian population, which is to say the best education, highest per-capita income, and the most civil rights of any Arabic population in any Arabic nation.

These are the descendents of the regions Arabic populations who did not flee in the Israeli war of independence where the armies of 5 different Arabic nations attacked with the intent of “driving the Jews into the sea” otherwise called genocide.

The Palestinian-Arabs have a homeland. It’s called Jordan. It’s the country directly to the East of Israel on the other side of the Jordan River. In the days of the British Mandate when Palestine was ruled by the British after the fall of the Ottoman Empire, they set aside that land to be Arab only, which means that the Jews who lived there had to move. Jordan is five times the size of Israel, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank combined and contained by far the best farmland and natural resources of the region.

The Palestinian-Arabs have been offered statehood on the West side of the Jordan River many times since, starting with the U.N. Partition Plan in 1947 and most recently with the Camp David summit in 2000. They don’t have a state today because they have consistently for almost 60 years shown that they prefer war to self-determination.

What annoys me about the Israelis (besides claiming to be the original Jews and they are not) is that they are hypocrites. They were without a homeland and were given one and the expense of the Palestienans. Now, the Palestineans want a homeland too but they refuse to share a portion of their land at all.

The world condemns them for their military actions which, if done by any other country would also be condemned, and they ignore the world or call the world "anti-semite."

Its a lot of BS.

Judaism is a religion. Being a Jew is not.

I never stated or expanded like both you and colonel did. I said born Jewish is Jewish.

Did I day anymore than that?? If you are of the 12 tribes of Judah, you are Jewish.

Sammy Davis Jr. may have been a follower of Judaism, I don't know if he was Jewish/Israelite!!

...in anwser to your thoughtful question. All of us are children of God. Jesus is our saviour. Even if one does not believe this, it is true. Being Jewish/ Isreaelite, only means you are chosen as the people of God. It does not alienate the rest of the world. Why do you think the world hates Jews?? Any one who confesses Jesus as his saviour and believes in the resurrection is saved- Jews mostly do not follow the new testament. Many have accepted Jesus as saviour. Do a google search of Messianic Jews for more info.

AD 135: Jews are expelled from "Palestine", the very name given to Judea by Rome.
Quoted from:
"Political Dictionary of the Middle East", by Avraham Sela

Here's what I don't understand about the "whole issue"....
"The Arab world has certainly demonstrated great skill in the "myth" of imagination. They have done such a good job that they have convinced much of the world that their "myths" are facts. Perhaps their biggest myth is the myth of Palestine. The Arab world would have us believe that the Palestinians have been in "Palestine" from "time immemorial" but were displaced by the Jews when Israel became a state in 1948. But what are the facts?
While we are not certain of the exact dates, Joshua conquered the Land God promised the Jews in the 13th century BCE. King David established Jerusalem as the capital of Israel around 1000 BCE. King Solomon built the Jewish Temple about 960 BCE. This was almost 1000 years before the beginning of Christianity and 1600 years before the rise of Islam. As Prime Minister Barak has noted, "When Jesus came to Jerusalem to celebrate the feasts, he didn't come to a church or a mosque, he came to the Temple." It is not the Church Mount or the Mosque Mount that is fought over, it is the Temple Mount. It was the Temple Mount centuries before Christianity tried to make it the Church Mount and Islam tried to make it the Mosque Mount.
However, not to be confused with facts, in a personal audience I had several years ago with the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, who was appointed by Arafat, he boldly declared that the Arabs had been living in the Land for 10,000 years. Based on conservative Bible chronology, that means the Arabs have been living in the Land before the Almighty created Adam and Eve.
How did Israel become Palestine and who are the Palestinians? The second Jewish war with the Romans took place in 132-135 CE. Led by Rabbi Akiva and Simon bar Kochba, the Jewish uprising was crushed by the Roman Emperor Hadrian who sought to de-Judaize Jerusalem and make it a pagan city. Hadrian renamed Jerusalem "Aelia Capitolina" in honor of Jupiter. He changed the name of Judea and gave it the name of the Jews ancient enemy, the Philistines. He called it -- Palestine.
Over time, Palestine was ruled by the Roman Byzantines (312-637) [Persian interrupt 614-629], Omayyad Arabs (638-750), Islamic Abbassid's (750-1099), Crusaders (1099-1291) [Saladin the Kurd interrupt 1187-93], Mamluks (1291-1516), Ottoman Turks (1517-1917), and the British Mandate (1917-1948). None of these rulers established a sovereign state in the Land and Jerusalem was never the capital of any empire since the time of King David. Palestine was a forgotten desolate, wasteland, but historical records show there was always a Jewish presence in the Land........"Palestinians" have never been a distinct people, they have never had a sovereign land called Palestine, Jerusalem has never been their capital, there is no Palestinian language or culture, and there is no Palestinian people. It is a myth created after the Jews liberated Jerusalem in 1967."

From:
"Middle East Myths: The Myth of Palestine"

www.rbooker.com...

And WHY was there never any mention of a "Palestinian state".....not under:
1) The Romans
2) The Crusaders
3) The Turks
4) The Arab Kingdom of Jordan
5) Then with the English and Jews immagrating back do we start hearing this then it finally hit full force with: #6...
6) not until the establishment of Israel has there been the cry for a "Palestinian state"

Truth beknown, the Palestinian are not Palestinians at all. They are Arabs, and a very good percentage should be Jordanians, technically.......

Israel will continue to recieve support from the US and other beknown countries despite what anyone thinks, feels, or says.....including Colonel.

I would suggest that this issue of Israel, Palestine, and the Arab world, in it's relation to this matter, be brought up as a research project(s).

Colonel quotes a site and again thinks and then calls it "gospel truth and fact"........when in truth, their is more to this whole issue then what that 'mere' site had to baisly give.
